Dont know what you are sighing for. I speak truth. We have freshmen that play like leaders- Okoro, Jabari, Thor, Petitford. And there is straight garbage as well. The "he was only banging HS chicks 9 months ago" excuse doesnt fly.

I think we get Sebastian Williams and take one more HS kid after him, the rest will be portal players which is boom or bust. Hopefully works out for us.

And I'm strictly talking about that Vermont montage, not even considering the plane incident.
From what I have heard, the two incidents are not unrelated.

Bruce is not the type to give up on kids and I hope he can help Jahki adjust.

I agree. Back to recruiting I feel better about next year's team. Also listening to the Field of 68 interview I feel better that Bruce has several more years with us.

Watching the Duke vs UK game in ATL… I like our odds if we play like we have this far..

All this brings me back to tipoff at toomers when he “lost” the dunk contest. It was a superficial fun night, and he was absolutely PISSED he didn’t win. I don’t remember who it was but someone was literally consoling him while the rest of the entire team were all out there jumping around and then carrying the other dude that “won” on their shoulders. Didn’t give it much thought back then, but now that it’s a recurring issue, it’s a glaring problem.

Duke’s size will give our guards some issues. We will need to shoot well from outside like UK did.
That being said, our offense won’t be as stagnant as UK’s and our big men should be able to score inside unlike UK’s for most of the night.

Despite being a homer I still hope and pray the Dukes get picked off in the tournament before we play them. Of course the madness part snipes us as well, but we also need it. Last year it was UConn and really they would've done what Yale did.

When that first started leaking I messaged a guy who is more familiar with the team than me who he thought it was and while he didn't know his first guess was Jakhi. Said he wasn't a bad kid but he still has some immaturity in him that he needs to grow out of.

Any chance we have a shot on Kiyan Anthony? Melos son
We made his top 3 and he announces this Friday

On Kiyan Anthony, it's kind of a strange deal. Not that long ago, it was reported Auburn hadn't even officially offered him but made his final 3. 247 still has AU with no offer. He never took an official visit to the Plains either.
Saw a interview where he said he really liked the USC visit and campus the best but that he had been to Auburn to visit (just not an official). He mentioned in the interview that out of the 3 coaches Bruce would be the one to hang with on a Friday night
It seems the likely landing spot would be Syracuse for obvious reasons but that also may be reason he doesn't choose them?

Upstate NY isn’t lower AL or USC

Know nothing about where this kid may be leaning, but appears we are in the final group for his decision in a few days.

USC or Syracuse. My bet is he follows his dad

I haven't heard much of anything about him in regard to Auburn. I think he stays home and commits to GT but I'll never count Kansas out if they really want him

My thoughts as well. I think we’re saving our big money for portal guys.

quote:Apparently the basketball team doesn't have the NIL to win this one. Seems like are closer to middle of the pack in the SEC for basketball NIL. Which would explain why we haven't been winning many of the battles for the elite players and have been getting guys in the mid 100's (Not complaining here, just the reality and Bruce can hopefully coach them up).
