Yep, he’s normally an efficient dude. I’m encouraged by him taking 10+ shots though

Closing this out I can hear Sonny somewhere saying…

Defense without fouling

Auburn wins 83-62.

Scrimmages aren’t very important but hey winning feels good.

Over now. Good scrimmage I would assume.

Anyone think Bruce tries to get one of those double secret scrimmages against someone like South Alabama, Troy, UAB… before first game?

Pegues 2 pts 1 assist. Its just a scrimmage and rotations we're weird, especially in the 1st half.. but we have to get more from him. If not he might find himself 3rd string.

Ok cool wasn’t sure. I would think that would be good with Vermont as first game then Houston.

It’s hard for transfer point guards. I’ll excuse his lack of aggression for now. Talk around the team is that he may come on slowly while he finds his spots.. similar to Denver last year.

It’s good we keep up with these scrimmages. Has to help with recruiting. And this recruiting thread.

I don’t expect 1-9 from deep will be the norm from CBM and Denver. We all know what they can do.

Merely 1 data point (that doesn’t even count). Every team has games they don’t shoot it well

That was pretty rough to be honest. Auburn looked like a group of 5 team against Furman who just wore them out at the end. It’s one game, and in the grand scheme of things means nothing, but damn, Auburn has a looong way to go even talk about competing in the SEC. Pegues seems gun shy and hesitant, like this level is too big for him right now. We are going to have to rely on Denver a lot, who struggled a lot as well. Johni and CBM are far and away our best players. Jakhi and Tahaad show a lot of potential at least. But other than that, I would grade this game as a D.

Man this is a grim forecast for a team that is expected to be in the mix for the SEC title and will dance lol.

Again, this game really doesn’t mean much, but at the same time, with 10 seniors on this team and 70% of last year’s team back, you would think they would look more in sync. I do know Pearl was experimenting with lineups as well. But damn, that was brutal and didn’t look like a tourney team at all. Auburn plays FAU Friday, so maybe they’ll look better. Can’t shoot any worse from 3 at least, haha.

Kelly will make this team much better. Need someone to step up and be the PG and I hope it's Pegues.

This team should be pretty good to really good so I would just wait to see how it plays out.

Who will have a better scout on Pegues?

I would think his former coaches and teammates might know his game pretty well.
