As kind of expected, the Ace Bailey/Omar Cooper rumors took off after Sharife got a 2-way deal with Washington. The rumor is that Omar, who was Bailey's manager, guaranteed Washington brass that he could get Ace to fall to them in exchange for them helping get Sharife back in the NBA.
If you remember, Ace was wrapped up in all kinds of negative news that really bashed his character leading up to the draft. All of that seems to have been unfounded as he's been drawing rave reviews from the Jazz beat writers and such ever since he first landed in Utah. Who he is doesn't match up with all the pre-draft noise.
He dropped Omar Cooper as his manager not too long after Sharife was signed to the deal with Washington. Could you imagine Omar/Sharife in this era of college basketball? That would be a nightmare. Plus, I truly believe at this point that Auburn dodged a bullet with that bunch only hanging around for a "partial" season.

Sounds like Murphy should be 100% by regular season. Could be that we don't see him against Memphis, though.

I like what I've heard about this guy. He has the size and skill. His athleticism could and should improve a little in a college nutritional/strength and conditioning program

Yea seems to be a solid player and one of those guys that could be a good contributor for a couple years.

I love the portal route. Have to have an identity first though.
The 2015ish team of Kareem Canty, Cinmeon Bowers, Antoine Mason, and Malcolm Canada had a transfer portal low chemistry feel as all wanted to get their touches in.

With a stable coaching staff.. should get 1-2 high schoolers in every class to hopefully build a core. Stuff one and done's and portal guys all around them.

The most recent teams have maintained a solid balance. We have gotten pretty lucky on a couple of JUCOs as well.

Kind of surprised the tickets to this Memphis scrimmage are $100. Was thinking I may pop down and check it out, but don’t really feel inclined to drop that on a fake game lol.
