Been impressed with the foreign players all year!
I wonder if foreign players are more likely to stick around for a place they have become familiar with rather than transfer every year.

Foreign players might appreciate our Chic Fil A for what it used to be.

Just signed a 7fter with a funny name.
LINK
He's French.
The 21-year-old Ngoy averaged 10.6 points per game, 11.5 rebounds and 2.6 blocks, while shooting 70 percent from 2-point range, for Poitiers Basket 86 in the second tier of the French national league. Ngoy has been playing professionally for five years
The way stephen describes him he sounds like a Dylan Cardwell type. Rebounding, rim protection and dunks
Will update as more info becomes available

The write up from SP seems very telling in terms of what he thinks went wrong this year. Emphasized his character, responsiveness to coaching and demands, discipline..
Credit to SP in terms of realizing the type of kids he probably needs to be coaching. He isn't a guy who can rally and fix guys like Keshawn Hall, CBM, etc.
BUT it doesn't mean anything if he can't find some real talent that fits in that realm.

Looks to be a good pickup. Definitely has the size and athleticism to compete at this level. On ball defending will naturally improve with a guy that size lurking the paint.

Where is the write up? I hope we SP can get it turned around.

Narcisse Ngoy is a name to watch in this class, 7'0 center, 7'6 wingspan, averaged 10.3 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 2.7 bpg.

“We’re excited to welcome Narcisse Ngoy to our program. He’s a high-upside young man who brings toughness, physicality, and a team-first mindset to everything he does.
Narcisse has a strong feel for the game on both ends of the floor. His instincts, ability to catch and finish around the basket, rim protection, and willingness to embrace contact will make him an immediate impact while filling a huge need for our team.
What stands out most is his commitment to winning. He’s not focused on individual numbers—he takes pride in doing the hard, physical work that helps his team succeed. He competes at a high level, processes the game well, and understands how to play within a system.
Off the court, Narcisse lives a disciplined lifestyle and has shown he thrives in a structured, demanding environment. He’s highly coachable, responds well to being pushed, and is strong in his faith. As he grows into his full potential, we believe his ceiling is extremely high.
Narcisse is a humble, driven young man with tremendous upside, and we’re excited to help him develop both on and off the floor here at Auburn.”

Hokanson says he currently has two years of eligibility. He also added Auburn could possibly apply for him to gain a third year.

Definitely a welcomed sight. Guy plays to his size too, which can often not be the case for Euro big men. Free throws need to improve (most 7' are bad at them), but damnit how do we keep getting euro players that can't hit free throws?

Saw another named mentioned on twitter in Louisville transfer Sananda Fru. I have no idea if there's any smoke behind it but he is a European big from Germany so the connection to our new GM is there. 6'11 averaged 9 and 6 with 1.4 blocks per game so he's much more proven commodity

GM was from Louisville too, so double whammy. Those two and Opurum or however his name is spelled would be a really solid rotation at the 5.

My observations from the highlights: exactly what we needed this year. A big bodied rim protector like Kessler and Cardwell. Seems to have a fairly good footwork which is huge for a big. Also seems to do a great job at keeping the ball high where guards can’t rake down on it. Could be a huge pickup for the next couple years

There is. One of the reasons we hired Kloman.
SP has more money to work with this offseason than we did last year.
