Sure would STILL ask Bucky McMillan if he has decent success at A&M...

What would two down years of Stephen cost the program. Talent can be bought and a new coach would draw his type of guy.

Not wishing just wondering the downside?

I low-key am pretty optimistic about Stephen being a good-to-great coach. He's learned from the best for years, and I've been impressed with the interviews etc. I've seen from him.

We just reloaded. Got 9 players in the portal. At this point in Bruce’s career he has stated he will go after elite HS talent but has to be the right character guys. And then go heavy portal of guys that have proven they want to improve and be coached. Until a coaching change I doubt you see Auburn basketball in the top 10 in recruiting rankings anymore like when Bruce started getting the program rolling

I think we have another top 10-15 roster but that doesn’t guarantee a s16 or heck even making the tourney. Gotta come together

I’d say top 30 roster. Top 10 coach. Brutal schedule. Probably bounce in and out of the Top 25.

I think 12-6 would be a very good conference record considering we have no idea how all these guys are going to work together. With our reputation that should get us a 5-7 seed in the tournament depending on how the OCC goes

Yeah he is basically saying we are either going to be really good or really mediocre while we wait for Pearl to leave

9 of our 10 expected contributors are brand new, and no combination of two players on the team have played a single live minute together. Not your typical offseason lol

Fortunately, Auburn is by far not the only program dealing with that.

The biggest factor in the current landscape of college basketball is roster construction and chemistry. That is the main deciding factor in the success of a given team in the portal/NIL era. How do the pieces fit and get along? You can put together an allstar roster of the highest paid players in the country. The reality is that you had a matter of weeks to vet those pieces and a single off season to mold them into an actual team.

It is a crapshoot in so many ways now.

Sharife Cooper signed a two-way contract with the Wizards.

It was also reported yesterday that Ace Bailey's pre-draft shenanigans were done in an effort to get him to Washington, which picked at #6, after the Jazz. Sharife's dad also happens to be Ace Bailey's agent.

There is a post from a national 247 writer saying that Sabastian Williams Adams is considering transferring. He's not a starter this season without an injury or two but he would get pretty decent minutes and be counted on going forward. He has been at practice all week so it's not written in stone but hopefully CSP can convince him to stick around

He seems like a Bruce type player, I was excited about him. That said, if he ends up being the only defection that would be ok.

Now C5 is saying Keyshawn Hall has someone big after him.

I’m sure most of them did, just gotta hold on.
