That QB at Arkansas could be amazing in a system with more talent. Why is it so hard to get someone like that. Florida has one now as well.

As has been what I am saying is QB is not the only issue. We play dumb. Our experienced players play like shite. Luke Deal, K. Scott, and our younger player Cam Coleman should all be on the 2nd string now until they learn to play every play the best they can and stop making mental mistakes
I think we can all agree that Gus, and especially Harsin, left our cupboard really bare. It's going to take more than 1 signing class and I don't count Freeze's 1st one considering he was basically just trying to save the crap Harsin left. Recruiting seems to be well on track, and I suspect some upgrades on the staff will come after this season.

But why are we worse year two?

The cupboard was bare he needs recruits folks can’t explain. If it was that bad, then logic says we would have had less talent last year.

We are the 18th most talented program right now. Cal is in the 50's and we are more talented than anyone we played this year.

If a coach cant coach a team that is more talented than their opponents, how will more talent help?

That thought process just makes no sense

If you are unprepared and undiciplined, it does not matter how much talent you have

You are going to lose a lot of your games

We are losing games that we have no business losing at home. Freeze is not doing a good job coaching. We are not well prepared and make stupid mistakes over and over again. We aren’t in a talent deficit against New Mexico State, Cal or Arkansas. Freeze better get his shite together or all these fancy highly ranked recruits are going to jump ship.

Like saban said last week on game day "you can spend all the money you want on players but if you don't have the right guys you're shite outta luck". That's where we currently are. Hugh should have gotten a better qb

Something that does need to be considered.

Remember what Saban said a few weeks ago. You can go out and NIL recruit players like crazy, but get the wrong ones and you’re shite out of luck.

This is important. This means something.

Talent and experience are two different things. Arch Manning was the top recruit in the nation coming out of HS. He's been at Texas two years now and is only playing due to injury or blowout. Jason Campbell looked horrible, and NOBODY saw him being a 1st round NFL pick his sophomore year.

All I'm saying is, give Freeze some time. Saban left a program in amazing shape, Freeze got the opposite. It's going to take some time.

Why are we worse year 2? Simple question.

Our secondary was considered the strength of our defense last year. Those guys are gone and now we are seeing what a lack of recruiting does. Freeze could have brought in the top DB and Safety recruits his 1st year, and they wouldn't be ready at this level. It takes time. Like someone else said, our best offensive weapon is a transfer, and our best defensive guy is a transfer. Freeze just doesn't have a program that "reloads" like that school across the State. You should be optimistic with the way recruiting is going, and I highly suspect some staff improvements are coming.

we beat Arky on the road by 5 TDs last year

with Throne at QB and that shitty OL and weak WR corps and Mr 4th-and-31 as our DC

why did we get our asses handed to us on our homefield today?

Thats because he is playing behind another 5 star QB. Same situation UGA had. You see what happens when he plays too. Dude rocks it. So he could have started and probably Texas would be exactly where they are

We absolutely need a better QB situation. Been wanting that for two years. I dont know why we didnt address it and put our cards on Throne. Cant understand it.

But we still have the Jim and Joes to beat NMSU, Arkansas and Cal. Its not a talent issue with those loses. UGA, OU, Bama, etc , totally different story.

Dont get me wrong, I completely get whre your at but that doesnt excuse what we are seeing on the field. We have more talent than we are seeing out there at home 4 straight games. Plus last year.

Why is our 5* top WR recruit loafing and dropping catchable balls? Why cant our RB's hold on to the ball? These are coaching issues. Not talent - Late hits, stupid penalties and a team that seems totally unprepared

Our talented DBs left for the NFL. We didn’t get better on the OL or at QB. We upgraded at WR but they are extremely green. Our defensive line talent are a true SO and some true freshman. However thank goodness for Bobby Travis because I haven’t seen Raikes in and Jayson Jones absolutely sucks.

We have to get to the point where we aren’t having to go get a Percy Lewis or a Mausi type player just to get through the season.

Jayson Jones was a 4 star recruit but has he been a real 4 star guy? That’s how you can on paper have a Top 20 talent roster and on the field be about 50th

A responsible coach would have his arse coming off the bench next week and starting Cam Brown.

I expect Mo Harris to light his arse up in the film room

Every team deals with that Corch. It is not just Auburn. Cal has two 4* recruits on their last recruiting cycle. The rest are 3* or no *

So let’s run 3 man fronts and put our untalented secondary in position to fail. We are coaching our way into losses just as much as talent is the issue. Coaching has to get better and we need to stop excusing it and blaming everything on lack of talent.

I thought you were asking why we could be more “talented”… it’s not just Jones… got a player right beside him Zeke Walker. Then the young guys just aren’t ready to play yet

On that, I agree 100%! We don't have the talent to get pressure with just a 3 man rush, and our secondary is horrible with 5 receivers going downfield. I don't think Durkin will see year two on The Plains. Freeze has to go out and upgrade that side of the ball!

We actually made green bail several times on the 3 man rush. I want to know what goes into that call though. Dj has his reasons I know, and I want to know them.
