Phillip Marshall said he’s talked to four people that would know about players suspended and nobody knew anything. Said that obviously doesn’t exclude the rumors from being true but he’s got no info until we hear from Harsin

Bryan Harsin was asked if there were any players that would miss the rest of the season for any reason. "No. There are no season-ending injuries."
He dodged that part of the question. He said no injuries, but the question was for any reason. He was specific to say what he said above.
So, I'm not sure that answer does anything to answer any questions regarding possible suspensions or removals from the team.

Didn't the rumor state that it would all be announced at the press conference? If so at least one part of it isn't true so maybe it's all bs. That's going to be my stance until proven otherwise.

I stated at 1:15 to not expect to hear anything at the press conference. My information is limited, but I do believe we will be without one contributor on the Dline on Saturday.

That's my thing...a reporter HAS to ask that question that has been rumored for almost 24 hours now.
Are these reporters afraid they are going to lose their access? If you ask it like you said, that leaves HIPAA out of it, and it does not identify anyone personally.
I think the administration owes it to be up front, even if it's to say "we know what the rumors are, and we will provide an update at a later time"...

Barstool said the press conference “could be interesting.” It wasn’t interesting. Harsin outlined everything about the bye week like we are new football fans. This is the reason why I don’t like making threads based on rumors. I’ve gotten burnt a couple times with a prepared thread for the rumor to not play out.
The accumulation of whiffs and confirmed rumors in this thread should help people understand that not every rumor is the gospel.

I agree, but I also kind of don't mind having a single thread where all crap and bullship rumors can be posted, discussed, squashed, laughed at, etc.

As long as I have been coming to sports boards the rumors will exist and I have mostly take them with a grain of salt or completely dismiss them.
Unfortunately some have been true.
I have also learned if any rumor or lead that comes from an "Auburn Insider" is 99% wrong, We have no Auburn insiders. Now if Bama insiders start sharing Auburn rumors, I tend to perk up a little more.
