Thanks for clarifying that, but thanks more importantly for the perspective from a parent living with and coping with that. I have a daughter close to the same age, and a younger son, and there is nothing they could tell me that would change how I feel about them. I said before that I doubt this is ideal for Cohen, but you don't stop loving your child. Part of love is learning to accept it, regardless of your opinion as you've shown here

I have the exact same opinion of a Freeze hire as I do hiring this guy.
BAD BUSINESS decision unless they are a guaranteed slam dunk hire. I would vomit over hiring that guy and his baggage.
Please don’t try to equate Bruce Pearl with this situation. That man had an illegal BBQ - no controversy in that at all.

Anyone that needs an AD or coach, or anyone in their families to be their moral compass, and the examples set for their kids probably shouldn't be spending time watching sports. Put things in perspective

My only concern with Cohen is not his political views but his wife, who is apparently pretty political publicly.
Auburn as a university needs to stay politically neutral for the benefit of the university. We need the support of BOTH parties in the legislature and Auburn does not need a politically divisive message coming out of the AD office. Politics are so polarizing as it is.
This is the only problem I have seen from my serious State friends with Cohen, they don’t appreciate the partisanship coming out of the AD’s office from his wife…..and before you say his wife is not the AD that is true, but she is STILL a representative of the university and needs to act as such.

I can tell you that neither Butch Thompson or Bruce Pearl are going to badmouth John Cohen or the potential hire to anyone right now. I wouldn't characterize their positions as supporting or not supporting Cohen. I think they are neutral right now, letting Chris Roberts go through the process and make the hire he deems best.
