Like our odds against Illinois State. Nevada was a better team.

We really haven’t played any better in the tournament. The other teams just don’t have the shooting stroke that SEC teams have. They missed some open shots seems like no team in the conference missed anything the last month especially from 3

What he conveyed was good, but I'd like for him to look up and read less.... but that's part of the learning curve. He's better than at the start of the season.

I hope we can keep Freeman/Jovic/SWA.

We are “close.”

This team just never quite figured out how to play together consistently.

Not having a pure PG and a rim protector were weaknesses.

Any suggestions on portal options?

He gets handed a piece of paper walking up to the table. He’s looking at the stats.

Still think we need 5 starters in the portal. 1,3,4, and 2-5’s. One a shoot blocker the other stretch the floor. Overton stay at the 2 as a starter

Doubt Tahaad comes back. But if he does backup PG/Combo. Jovic at the 4/5, SWA at the 4, Freeman at the 3, all in backup roles. Go 10 deep and play with that second team with tempo. First team can play at whatever pace suits them.

This methodical offense with poor shooting has been hard to watch. Bet Burgo is still calling 85-90 percent of plays. Before last season I bet we played close to 50 percent “open” which was free play but we had point guards that would work within the framework of the offense.

Hopefully the one change from Bruce to Steven is he goes after 6’2” quick PGs not 5’11” quick PGs.

They are double teaming Jovic.

Him and SWA always curl up with the double team and ends up tie up/turn over.

Does it take getting bigger and stronger to fight through for a shot or pass?

You’re really having a tough time as an Auburn fan with them winning.

No one is in here going crazy or a win over Nevada. I just stated prior to you posting your shite that we aren’t really playing better the teams we are playing just aren’t as good as what we were playing. Granted it is good to see some of these young guys have some success to close out the season. There is plenty of bad tape for them to watch of themselves. All have plenty to work on. Steven also has things he will need to adjust and address as well in the offseason.

How many times do you think they have been put in those positions this year? First to be isolated on the block and second to get double teamed? I’d say less then .001%. So reaction time to ready the double teamed coming is probably not something they have worked on at all. I’ll take their effort every game.

It's not all bad, the more they win the more practice they get, and we likely wouldn't get all these extra freebies in the big show.

Yep, rather been there.... but when handed lemons. And let's face it SP also needs all the practice he can get. And he's never coached a tournament

He’s coached 3 so far. The one in Vegas, SEC tournament, and now the NIT.

I get what you are saying he needs to grow as a coach. He will. I personally don’t think coaching was the issue this season. But he can still get better player management and things like that. Can never get that experience until you are the one that makes all the decisions
