The Packers RB just did what Tre Mason should've done in the Rose Bowl

totally wrong IMO.

The difference was that GB only needed a chip shot FG to WIN the game. In our game we are down 3, so to win the game we need a TD. To tell Tre to slide and allow us to run clock w/ no guarantee we score on successive plays. It is not how you play it. Plus, fans only think of it after FSU went 80 yds in 1 min to beat us. THAT shouldn't have happened.

I agree with what the GB RB did. But not in our game.

I hated that we left so much time on the clock right away.

This convo just made me hate myself as I just went and watched the highlights of that 4th qtr. We make a tackle on the second play of that drive to limit to a 5 yard gain and we win the natty.

We scored from 30 or 40 yards out. Not like we can slow play that. It was a great run by Tre and it should have ended the fricking game.

If you cant keep a team from scoring a TD, not a FG. but a TD in 1min and 17 seconds, you dont deserve the natty. The dive at the feet of the Noles receiver lost us the natty. I hate that style of tackling and we are still doing it some today. Though we are better at it.

Can you guys please go back to your whining and crying about Gus and not mention this damn game anymore.

For fricks sake

So fortunate, but unfortunate. What’s also unfortunate is NM doesn’t get his deserved credit for hitting on that 3rd and 12 crossing route couple plays prior.

I can’t tell you how many times we have let teams throw bombs from the plus side of the 50 with only mere seconds left. It’s nerve racking, even more so then, when our D was even more suspect.

This year we scored with 9 seconds remaining against Oregon but still allowed Herbert to throw so close to the GL that he he completely overthrew the EZ. I know that was on the ST then but it’s true, I don’t feel confident until the clock hits double 0.

It’s just the Auburn way. It even affects our basketball team

Can’t. I need you and Jones to know it’s safe to swim in the waters.

Nobody wants to swim in acid. This place sucks pretty bad right now. And for very little reason.

See you when the season is over

Auburn in the NFL Week 6 recap: LINK

Btw, can anybody who uses PFF confirm if this line about Jonathan Jones is talking about for the whole season?

Pro Football Focus rates Jones as the No. 2 cornerback in the NFL, both overall and in coverage.

Somehow the Broncos have an OL that is worse than the Panthers.

Instead of the Broncos, I think the Bears should trade for Cam. :)

Josh Bynes, LB, Baltimore Ravens

Bynes' return to the Ravens has provided the defense with stability in the middle. Through three games with the team, Bynes is rated as the 12th-most efficient linebacker, according to Pro Football Focus. On Sunday, the ninth-year player led the team with eight tackles and one tackle for loss in a 30-16 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

quote:

Daniel Carlson, K, Oakland Raiders

Carlson was perfect once again this week, going 3 for 3 on PATs and connecting on his lone field goal attempt from 45 yards out as the Raiders lost to the Green Bay Packers, 42-24. Carlson is now 5 of 6 on field goals and a perfect 16 of 16 on PATs for the season. Since joining the Raiders last season, he has made over 90 percent (21 of 23) of his field goal attempts.

quote:

Dee Ford, LB, San Francisco 49ers

Ford did his part in the 49ers' shutout victory Sunday with two tackles and a sack as the team beat the Washington Redskins, 9-0, to stay unbeaten.  Ford, who has established himself as one of the league's premier edge rushers, now has at least one sack in four of the five games he's participated in and 4.5 sacks on the season. Pro Football Focus rates the former first-round pick as the No. 3 edge rusher in the NFL.

quote:

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots

Jones continues to be one of the primary reasons the Patriots lead the league in most defensive categories and are only allowing 148 passing yards per game. Playing on Monday Night Football this week, Jones had five tackles in the team's 33-0 victory over the New York Jets. He is currently rated as the No. 2 cornerback both overall and in pass coverage, according to Pro Football Focus.

quote:

Braden Smith, OL, Indianapolis Colts

Smith has been an important piece in the Colts' success this season. The offensive tackle is graded as the 12th-most efficient tackle, according to Pro Football Focus. On Sunday, behind Smith and the offensive line, quarterback Jacoby Brissett passed for 326 yards and four touchdowns as the Colts took down their division rival the Houston Texans, 30-23.

Some stats from some other guys this past week:

Duke Williams, Bills - 1 catch, 23 yards

Darius Slayton, Giants - 2 catches, 28 yards

Montravious Adams, Packers - 2 tackles

Angelo Blackson, Texans - 2 tackles

Cody Parkey, Titans - 1/1 FG, 2/3 PAT

Jarrett Stidham got in the game again but the only stats he recorded we 2 rushes for -2 yards

Guy has to be one of the most underrated guys in league history. He has started 43 games in 9 years at a solid level and only made some $6mil.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England

He was so good at Auburn that it doesnt surprise me he has turned into one of the best corners under the coaching of BB. I'll never forget the pick in the endzone he had against USCe. Such a crazy athletic, smart play. I cant find a gif, but trust me that it was amazing.

It is a damn shame that he wasn't a few years younger and could have played on the defense AU is putting out these days.
