Freeze is Petrino with buck teeth.

Again, he had the likely first QB in the 2022 draft and a baby soft schedule and went 7-5 this year. He lost to LAMO - coached by Tot.

I’d just as soon hire Chiz back. At least he’d work cheap.

Aranda would be my first choice but I honestly don’t see him leaving Baylor for AU with the state the program is in.

If Auburn wanted someone that is steady and could be considered a sure thing and not a gamble they need to go after him. The Baylor program was pretty much in shambles when he took it. His first year was rough, but look what he did in his second year. He turned that program around quickly and now has it on a solid footing that won a conference championship in his second year. They looked very good in their bowl game.

That did indeed work with Pearl however Pearl was hated by midwestern blue collar workers that really had nothing to do with our area. Freeze crossed ethical boundaries down home for covering up cheating with southern gospel. If we are willing to accept the reputation of hiring any sleezebag that can win, we should accept it. Insults can only go so far.

Hugh Freeze and Bobby Petrino are polar opposites.

Besides, Gene Chizik ain’t shite without Gus Malzahn as his OC. And we don’t want either back.

Do we think Freeze is great still? He’s 6ish years removed from Ole Miss and I thought his liberty tenure has just been alright

He won 61% of his games at Ole Miss and he was 5-7 his last season

Rhino5 loves him some Gene Chizik. If we start talking about Chizik I assume we don’t care about winning programs. I’m wanting a Freeze or Kiffin that can light up our scoreboard. Freaking fireworks man.

Somehow it’s only Auburn that makes scoring TD a dysfunctional task unless the RB can run to the 2.

Not in terms of the game having passed them by.

Freezus was hot shite in 2014. Newsflash, that was a lifetime ago in CFB terms. And he isn’t going to get any top recruits to come to AU with his “innovative” offense.

He’s right where he belongs, at a G5 program that will accept 4-5 losses a season, which incidentally is his career average.

Some posters love affair with this miserable has-been is mind boggling.

I know your stance already. I am desperate for points. 2017 was only decent. The rest of the seasons- Bo, Sean White (11 total TDs ever in 340+ passes), JJ, and Finley are stacking up some really depressing seasons.

Its too early to get into this conversation.. but you can't criticize Freeze while also giving him credit for turning Malik Willis into a 1st rounder.

My stance on Freeze? I think he’s toward the lower end of my wish list. I wouldn’t say I’m totally out on him but I don’t see the attraction that others do.

Honestly I don’t think a lot of coaches that I’d get excited about would touch Auburn right now. Hoping that changes with a new president and AD. I’m a little afraid of hiring a new coach until those two are in place and on the same page

Freeze would make our offense more potent. More exciting.

Given better circumstances he would also be down my list, however at this point he isn’t someone that would turn down Auburn no matter how far Auburn falls.
