I’m not the one who went off on tangents that Gus was lying about shite during press conferences. You ask football questions of a coach you’re gonna get coach speak.

The only coach I put faith in as a speaker about football stuff was tubs in his 20 minute before kickoff he would tell you how many turnovers he expected the defense to get and was normally pretty close but his ends were gonna demolish most QBs every game

Still a possibility. I think we're waiting to hear back from the NCAA on Monday.

You can’t make this shite up. Trying to hire a mediocre OC with possible NCAA violations.

You guys wanted a recruiter for OC. Shouldn't recruiting violations be a good sign?

Except his recruiting sucks, even though he cheats.

Short post on the ASU 247 site. Seems to shed some light on the issues there.

So I haven't paid attention to the ASU NCAA issues. Has anything actually come out that would indicate whether Hill was involved, or at least involved enough to prevent us from hiring him?

Supposedly Herm Edwards was sneaking recruits and their families into the ASU facilities during the COVID dead period. According to reports, they were bringing in a ton of recruits, and it wasn't just a one-off thing. Everyone knew about it. So I don't see how Hill couldn't be aware of it as well.

At this point no matter who we hire someone will cry here, and everyone that's not an Auburn fan will say it's the worst hire ever

Seems most feel the problem lies with the QB and his lack of understanding and skill with Hill’s more complex schemes. Also got the feeling the QB has somewhat of an attitude.

Also some ASU fans think Herm Edwards has meddled with Hill's offense to make it more conservative. Who knows how much of that is true, though.

Ah, the old "HC is meddling" rumor that it seems all fanbases go through.

Reading some of their boards is too familiar. Just missing the meddling booster.

You are being a total dumbass. I never said Harsin didnt hire him. My statement was a general one. That not all decisions will come from him. Not at Auburn.

Im really not even sure what you are arguing about. Other than just to hear yourself talk.

If you dont feel that Auburn has had and more than likely still has people meddling from behind the curtain, Im not sure we have anything else to discuss. It would be a losing battle for either of us

And some will pump orange and blue rainbows out of their butts, even if it’s a bad hire

The gnashing of teeth is comical. I want Harsin to get whoever he wants. Nobody here knows a damn thing about a PAC OC..........or haven't watched enough of ASU to get an accurate read. If the OC doesn't cut it, Harsin will more than likely be gone. I want him to sink or swim on his own decisions.

Amen. He probably has Mason to burn next year then the year after it’s his arse so making the right choices is paramount right now and it should be completely on the head coach.
