I just don’t see this one happening at all.
If it is happening we are pretty fricked.
It is not even a lateral move, unless somehow those guys start paying a lot more.
Sigh. If this team was not named Auburn, we would say it is on the verge of becoming a dumpster fire.
I hope things get turned around, but none of the recent trends look good.
We lost a legacy, starting qb to the portal.
We fired a position coach during the season.
Recruiting stalled, while we have some good ones, can anyone point to a single blue chip guy this year?
We went on a terrible losing streak including multiple second half collapses.
Our portal approach failed to really bring in any big time guys, especially in areas we need.
Firing our OC and then losing our DC in a new coach's first year would pretty much leave me with zero confidence about the head coach.

Well I would take Feldman over King.
King was reporting Council exhausted his eligibility. Then Council announced he’s coming back today. I don’t know how you mess that up as an Auburn reporter. I did 5 minutes of research and saw he had eligibility left.

Ok State was 12-2 last year, finished top 10 in the AP with a defense ranked Top 5 in the country. Their DC got scooped up by Ohio State (not bad). They just beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl while we got beat in the Birmingham Bowl, lol.
I love Auburn as much as anyone, but to say this would be a backwards move based on the current state of the two programs is ignorant. Harsin has a lot of work to do.

It's all about the money.

Schmedding to DC. Christian Robinson to LB

That happened quick. People are saying Etheridge may be gone as well. Could be nothing but my Spidey senses are going crazy.

That’s just my guess based on Auburn hiring CRob

Which means what his employer pays is meaningless up til the annual amount exceeds what he gets per year from Vandy in terms with his buyout. So salary really may not make a difference in his case.

areas we need
We heard all about portal OLs and WRs visiting, but we missed on every single one. We don't have an OL or WR that would start for any other SEC team but we decided to go with them, great plan. We are heading towards a historically bad run and we can't seem to get there fast enough. If this were happening to State we would call it a dumpster fire. But since it's Auburn everyone seems to ignore we are sinking fast.

Such a meh coaching staff. Seems like Harsin hired Mason to please the PTB and now is putting who he wants into place. Not my job on the line though, pretty indifferent to next year. Imagine if Tank hadn’t come back too.

That’s how u support lAuburn?
Posted on 1/20/22 at 3:47 pm to AuSteeler
That's how I support a kid who wants to stay healthy, put up good numbers, and get drafted high. With our OL there is a strong chance none of that happens for him. He has given his all to Auburn and with our portal OL performance we failed to do the same for him....or anyone else that needs someone to block.

quote:Schmedding is Eastern Washington stock. No one in the south will know this and what that means. A coaching production line. Also well-liked personally by players. These coaches aren't performing brain surgeries with X's and O's. I'd be fine if Mason leaves. I'm skepical of anyone who is shorter than me. Benedict Arnold was short.

jang and Randy, let me have it.

If Mason leaves, promote Schemedding to DC, Christian Robinson hired for lbs and go get TRob for the other secondary coach.
Two excellent recruiters brought on staff.
