Freeman has potential, but who knows if he will get there.

All this moving around by all the players is taking away some capacity to develop relationships that could serve them well after basketball which will be over for many of them without ever touching an NBA basketball court.

Only 64 men are drafted each year.

Hopefully we can get his Iowa playing. Battled a lot of injuries last year. If we can pull Dowd as well and have Freeman be his backup, that would be best case scenario. He is a really solid, skilled player though when healthy. Going to do all the technical things in the post.

One thing we did was address the size issue. 2 7-footers and a 6'10 kid.

I haven't seen Freeman play, but I wonder if he has a post game like Johni did?

He does. As I saw one of our twitter people put it, think Johni with less leaping ability

Shocking I know. Has good hands and moves well though. Also, depending on how Opurum develops going forward, Freeman can also give minutes at the 5 if needed. So, some good versatility with him.

His Soph year at Iowa, he averaged 16.7 points, 6.7 Reb, and 1.8 blocks per game. If he gets back to that level of play, we'll be cooking.

Dowd isn't a 4 at the P4 level. He's 6'7 with shoes on.
That's one of the notes on him from N King and how he fell below Olsen from USA on the pecking order.

Interesting, I have it backwards then. Guessing then we'd be keeping SWA starting at the 4 and possibly Dowd at the 3 then if we got him?

A crafty big that can grind down low may be just what we need.

If he can't jump then his bag of post moves is deep.

We’ve got a few guys in line for the 3/4 so I’m curious to see how it shakes out. Olsen, Dowd, Aristode and maybe that Euro player mentioned early on. And is SWA still in or not? We also need to get another elite shooter at the guard spot

From yesterday. I believe this is one of those announcements he was referring to. Bukky wasn’t one of these. As always, take with a big grain of salt, so we will see how things continue to shake out. He doesn’t seem to think Aristode is 100% a given at this point so I don’t think he has him in these

That's my guess too but as much as we switch defensively there's really not much difference between the two positions tbh.

Olsen is supposed to choose between AU and Kansas this week so we're waiting on that before moving on to Dowd
