This Arkansas - NMSU game is one of the worst offensive 2 way performances I’ve ever seen

Sounds about right for a Chris Jans coached game

n this set up, kind of yea. The Giants were like 9-7 when they beat the 16-0 Patriots. Which team would you rather be?

Im not saying a middling team winning a title isn’t something. I’m saying a middling team making the conference finals and losing isn’t celebrated.

Gene’s take is ignorant.

It's incredible that ChetHolmgren hasn't just fallenover from a strong draft in an arena at some point this season.

I’d only take a chance on him with a top 3 pick if I had a ton of juice as a gm. Some of the skills are scary good but that body is terrifying

Adam Harrington could work with him pretty well

This is super unfair to Chet, but if I’m a GM, I’ve got major concerns about his health and potential genetic issues causing a very shortened career. His body just looks like the result of some kind of underlying condition.

I think it gets complicated comparing regular season success to March Madness tournament. A solid 5 from an unfamiliar St Peters caliber team can easily have a fighters chance against blue bloods and that’s what makes March Madness great. However those Cinderella teams don’t last In the tournament. Rarely do 10 seeds make the elite eight. Bruce wants Auburn playing like an underdog while a 2 seed. Easier said than done but it’s those teams that cut down the net. Sometimes it’s just luck of that draw that allows teams to survive and advance.

I'd probably take a regular season title over being like a 22-9 6 seed and making the Elite 8. I'm definitely taking a Final 4 over a regular season title in any circumstance though.

Yeah that’s exactly right. You want your team scrapping and clawing for every possession or you’re not gonna win anything in March

I’d probably be pretty pleased with an elite 8 appearance either way.

Resting on the laurels of regular season championships is offseason material right now but it certainly helps me breathe easier knowing we at least locked down some hardware for this great season.

I think Bruce will get our best effort I just worry that we aren’t as workmanlike as the underdogs out there. A team like Miami that is up tempo doesn’t really worry me because we want to run. but a team that tries to ground us to a halt will make me worry. We sometimes get careless and do not hit free throws very well so a half court offense kind of a game will be out of our comfort zones.

Agreed.

I only think the Reg Champ slightly outweighs the Elite 8 and only if the conference is difficult.

Win the next one.

I haven’t watched Chet much til this tourney but he is a stud. For a big man to dribble and take to basket like he can is incredible. Nice looking shot also.

It’s interesting the different skill sets between those 3 freshmen- Chet, Jabari and Duron. All 3 r studs
