As far as transfers go I’ve been wanting Tevin Brown from Murray St. badly. I know NBA scouts already discuss him but who knows maybe he’ll have to prove it in a major conference first

I’m just over here trying not to pay attention to how well Trey Alexander is playing at Creighton

Going to need to bring in another couple pure shooters before next year

most definitely.
Imagine what this team would look like without Kessler and Jabari..........because that's what we have next year.

It’ll be interesting depending on what Kessler decides. Jabari is definitely gone and hopefully that will set the table for the next McDonald’s AA to commit to AU

We need to go back to being a perimeter team…we don’t have elite guards and those bigs don’t help us much in that case… it was an interesting experiment though….

These players are mostly committed to other teams already…not looking good for the next two years or so…

Not being able to recruit without a dark cloud over us for years hurt us more than we realize. Killed us last year but thankfully we brought in the best front court imaginable

You haven’t been around long enough to understand the Jang! See you have old Jang, new jang. Depending on the day you never know which you’re gonna run across

we have shooters. We just aren't a good three point shooting team. We just continue trying to put square pegs in round holes
And who would these shooters be? Whatever we are trying to put into the round hole it’s not going in

We need a shooter..bad. Our only shooter can’t be a 6’10 freshman. How the hell is he the only person on this team that can make an open 3?
I don’t understand it either. These guards we have are extremely undersized (all of them look like they’re under 6 feet) but they still shouldn’t be this awful at shooting.

I don’t even know what I did wrong. I just shared an opinyun of a friend of mine that would take Bruce back to this day

Bigs were more effective when Kessler had more than one arm. It's obvious he's not 100% and teams have no fear of him now. Get him out from under the rim and blow right by.

Our bigs are perfect, not sure why we are acting like it’s an experiment. We will always need a rim protector who can catch lobs and finish and we have the highest end version of that. And we will always need a stretch 4 who can defend at a high level and we have the highest end version of that. Problem is our 3’s have been horrendous and the shooting from the 1’s and 2’s have been inconsistent even if they have had stretches of good play.

So true. Flanigan and Cambridge have been awful this year. Wendell and KD are inconsistent and not big/strong enough to penetrate like we need. I wish Jasper would be more confident and take some of their shots, especially KD. The book is out on us now, though. Unless we get a good KD or Jasper all of the sudden decides to take a bigger role, we’ll be lucky to make it to the Sweet 16.

He certainly passes up opportunities to shoot. We need him to get 12 pts per game, minimum.

We shot 36 threes at a 25% clip against A&M and 3s is our weaker skillset. That’s like asking TJ Finley to win the game for us through the air.
Against Kentucky we shot 37% from 3 on 16 total 3s. We didn’t live on the shot but the opponent respected it either way. Other than our team is mental what is our issue? Our offense is suddenly a one tricky pony. Our offense needs a dribble drive to break down the defense to pass off to open players (that are there) however our issue is the opponent isn’t respecting our shot attempts.
Can’t rely on lobs to Cambridge because he has played himself out of the game. Can’t rely on Jabari’s jumpshot because opponents want to get inside his body and force him to dribble drive. So where do we continue doing work? We continue to kick out to open players and pray that our shots start to fall.

Kessler's injury isn't the problem. He was never a good post player. His points came off lobs and put backs when our guards were penetrating and drawing defenders. Once everyone realized our guards can't shoot they sit in and take the penetration away.
Everyone saying we need to develop an inside presence don't seem to understand Kessler is not a post presence on offense. He has almost no game with his back to the basket.
