Was something wrong or did Arky shut him down. He didn’t even look confident tonight.

I think he’s developed the reputation for a guy that initiates contact on offense now and isn’t getting his normal calls. Some are probably good no calls but there were a few tonight that should have been called.

Arky knew if he got the ball and drove that he was shooting and collapsed on him.

Offense should work through Jabari getting the ball at high post. Especially late in games.

Tough loss tonight but a heck of a run. Regroup and beat A&M this weekend.

That’s what I said. Maybe his play in OT will make him the go to now, but I doubt it. lol

Love this team though and hope their peak play is yet to come.

Kessler was a beast tonight.

Greens response when asked about his shot selection at the end of regulation.

We still have not lost a game in regulation all year. I think we stay #3 or #4

Excellent effort on the road. Not upset one bit about this one. Come home and take care of business next two games then another good road opportunity next Saturday

We needed a L. We looked like the #1 was heavy on us. We get lazy during long stretches each game. Hopefully we adjust and recharge the batteries. I wouldn't mind dropping to 3ish. We are a NC type talent. But we can't go down 10-15 points to a Purdue type team in March and expect to win.

ETA

And Bruce needs to reel in shot selection. WG Jr had plenty of time to attack the rim on our last possession during regulation but took a half court 3. He has to do better. No one on Arkys team could guard him.

Agreed and I believe they will get it figured out. I understand how occasionally we launch "frick it" threes when we are worn down.. but gotta get a better look than that at the end of regulation. Put pressure on the defense, get fouled

WG has got to start spreading the ball... I think I heard one of the announcers say their coach said we had selfish guards.

I keep seeing this sentiment and I just think it's silly that they use the word "selfish". We have very confident guards. They think a lot of times when we need a bucket they are the best option on the team to go get it. That is the confidence BP breeds in players and it's a huge reason we are #1.

Now to reach our full potential, Bruce is gonna have to reign that in a little now as we enter the stretch run. But he knows it and he's the best in the biz. Gotta have some go-to sets in late game situations other than the Kessler/Green PnR or KD/Green ISO. Bruce knows that too. It's a tight rope walk trying to reign in the way guys KD and Green play while also letting them be the best versions of themselves but it's got to be done. I'm fully confident we get there but we probably do have another 1-2 losses in the near future.

Agree with this, I also think a light/fire was lit in Jabari in OT last night. I think going forward he is going to be a Durant type assassian and be the best player that he is.

Agreed they let the guard from Arkie jump from the baseline toward the free throw line into Kessler to get a foul but didn't call any of those fouls on arkie when KD drove. I believe its his excessive celebrations that make him less likable.
