35-10 LSU.

I think Landry and Beckham will work Davis and Mincy anyway, so the fact that Davis may not even play is just gasoline on the fire. We won't stop their running game because our D line and LBs are that bad. And I won't believe Gus' offense can score against top-notch SEC defenses until I see it. Without Cam, we scored 10 against LSU in '09 and 10 against LSU in '11.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but I'm just calling it the way I see it. Regardless what happens, I do hope Gus opens up the offense and lets Marshall air it out some.

Well that's pretty much the way it looks like right now. Hopefully our players want to fight for a win. They have the play their best ball since they've been at AU. Have to force LSU to make mistakes.

I'm hoping for a close, good game. I'll be ecstatic with a win, but I'm not sure if they'll pull it off. Have to wait and see

Cool, you took everything I said and put your own spin on it, which you're entitled to do. I stand by everything I said, and you can't prove it wrong; because it's an opinion

Yeah it is an opinion and he provided relevant information to why your opinions is misguided.

And then you got butthurt over it.

I definitely want to see some improvement sans Cam, but you have to take into account who was QB for those two games - Chris Todd and Mosley in his first ever start behind a sub par OL.

It will be interesting to see how this OL holds up against their DL and pass rush. They pretty much obliterated our OL the last two years.

We'll need another 3 turnover game from our defense and a fake onside kick ala 2009 Iron Bowl to win 28-24

I agree with everything you said. I want to say we score 20ish but until we do so on a top notch defense i'm going to be skeptical. I just don't see us being able to run the ball successfully against them. NM hasn't done enough yet to keep teams from stacking the box.

I'm going in with no expectations so it should be fun to watch. I'm pretty much conceding they will score 35+ points. I'm just hoping we can put a few scores up to make it look decent.

Craig Sanders not traveling with the team this weekend. Ligament damage in the knee but should be back by Ole Miss.

Does anyone else think that the rain could work to our advantage by taking away some of the crowd noise tomorrow? I know the rain won't keep most of the people away but you have to wonder if it's raining throughout the whole game if it will dampen their spirit a little bit.

Did it rain at all during the actual game when we played WVU in 09? Of course it was a downpour at kickoff but did it continue to rain afterwards?

Not really. It came down in buckets right before kickoff...delayed the game a bit and then was out of the area. Might have been a bit of a drizzle but as i recall there was no rain falling by start of the 2nd quarter.

I didn't think so. I'm looking at the forecast for Baton Rouge and there is a really good chance of rain especially early in the game.

Forecasts are pretty horrible at predicitng things though. There have been numerous studies on that

I agree with you.

Although, when the weather channel has it at 50%> chance for every hour on Saturday, I have a feeling it will rain on & off before & during the game.

Not sure if that helps or hurts us honestly. With all the Mettsiah talk, it would seem it helps us.

This Mettsiah talk has been going on for over a year now. Until he plays a real defense (not saying we will be one), he is just an above average QB whoc an have good games

IMO, it definitely helps auburn keep the game close... both teams will probably run the ball more, shortening the game... and the tiger stadium crowd could have some of it's bite taken away. There's also the potential for more turnovers... and given the fact ZM hasn't thrown a pick all year, LSU throwing less could mean more TO opportunities for our defense.

on the other hand our WRs have struggled at times catching Marshall's lazer beams... having a wet football will make them even tougher to catch.
