Tomorrow will determine a lot about our immediate future. It's rubber meets the road day, so congrats to those who celebrate!! Recruits are not buying in yet. They along with the fans are conditioned to believe we can find 5 losses this season and in any season. The Coaches Poll doesn't respect our team. Espn analytics predict us to win 2 out of the next 9, and there is no relief in our schedule as we have to travel to Big 12 country where A&M is already off and 100% preparing to defeat Auburn.
But if the pendulum doesnt swing back tomorrow what is it waiting for? We have the players to compete. Our OL has 157 starts between them. We had to endure three years of bullshite trying our best to be patient while Freeze built the roster with HS kids. If Auburn fails to rise up like a phoenix in the ashes then are we even the Auburn we used to know anymore.
Sure there is the possibility of Freeze losing tomorrow and finishing undefeated the rest of the way, but that seems unlikely. There is a possibility of 8-5 and really defeating nobody (Sorry Pavia fans). There is also the possibility of another subpar season and Freeze surviving another year as a lame duck (quite likely) but that situation puts our program toppled over and into the ditches wondering how we are going to get ourselves out of this mess again. So, we just need to get the job done. We need about 9 wins so that recruits can continue stacking our roster for championship contention.
If we do win tomorrow and lose to A&M on a tough draw we can still regroup during our bye week before we slay more demons in Georgia. Leave alone your recruiting concerns. If the test is failed there will be one coach to blame and no recruiting class to hold together anyways. The only thing that matters now is Oklahoma.
The 3 year Freeze test is now. Hopefully our future is brighter after the end of this season.

Our offense is going to have to play its best game of the season to give us a chance based on what I’ve seen from the defense

Their offensive line is dinged up pretty good and Mateer is prone to interceptions. Read where we have been practicing hard against slants across the middle, Mateer loves the middle. Two interceptions tomorrow.

A big road win early in the season is a lot to ask for, … but it is time.
It is time for our D to materialize and play an impact role in this game.
It is time for our offense to effectively utilize the talent … chunk plays to talented receivers.
It is time for Freeze to deliver the results and display the improvements.

We need this. We came close to getting a big one against bama twice and pissed it away. Really the last really big win was 2019 bama. Don’t consider anything else in the last 5 years a big win.

I’m not overly sold on Okie being a really great top of the SEC team. Think Michigan overrated. If we don’t pull it out today, I’m not going to be very optimistic about the rest of the year.
