Offense has yet do to anything on the road. We score a garbage time TD and go for 2. LSU wins 28-18.

I hope I am wrong.

I will be there anyway telling my head off - surrounded by the Cajuns.

Do we have an injury update? Hopefully the bye week allowed for some to heal.

Hugh’s presser just started so I think we will get some info any minute now.

quote:

- Austin Keys and Keionte Scott are still out “for the foreseeable future” Freeze said. Says he’s hopeful and expects that Jaylin Simpson will be good to go. Malcolm Johnson Jr. is day-to-day at this point. Ja’Varrius Johnson is questionable with an elbow injury. Damari Alston is doubtful.

Other tidbits:

quote:

- “I think they’re offense is the most explosive that they’ve seen in a long, long time,” Hugh Freeze said of LSU’s offense. He compares it to the 2019 LSU offense led by Joe Burrow.

quote:

- Freeze said looking back at the Georgia game, there were “10 plays” that ultimately decided the game. He put six of the plays that went wrong on the coaches, and four on the players. He counts those 10 plays as fundamental things that could have been done better, not necessarily a player dropping a pass or a simple mistake like that, Freeze said.

quote:

Freeze said the margin of error for Auburn winning and losing is so small against rosters that are better than Auburn’s - On the passing game, Freeze said looking back at the film, he’s seeing wide open receivers still. He needs Payton Thorne to make some of those plays, but also needs to work on making sure Thorne gets proper protection. He takes the protection on himself. - Freeze said he called all the players’ parents during the bye week.

quote:

- With Mosiah Nasili-Kite out of the year, Freeze said freshman defense end Keldric Faulk will be “vital” for Auburn’s defense. Also said defensive lineman Marcus Harris is playing too many snaps, despite how well he has played.

quote:

Freeze said during self-scouting over the bye week, he noticed some tendencies Auburn had, especially on third down where Auburn has struggled. He didn’t go into specifics, however.

quote:

- On facing LSU, Freeze said the best thing his defense can do is hold LSU to field goals. Stopping them and especially QB Jaydon Daniels is going to be a difficult challenge, especially depending on Simpson’s health. He calls LSU again the best offensive personnel he’s seen in the SEC so far.

this is an odd tidbit - every single player on the team? that's a lot of phone calls.

I say we actually stick to running the ball more and score some decent points. I want to say our defense shows up spectacularly, hopefully a Simpson INT, but it's hard to say with Baton Rouge on a Saturday night.

Position coaches called each parent of their group. Any attention needed beyond that Freeze followed up with a call. He corrected that statement that he called every players parents
