Applewhite won’t be in Mobile long, but I like his strategy of getting hometown players. Lots of talent in that area.

They have a very good offense. Problem is that good offense isn’t why they’ve been able to do things, busts in coverage and guys wide open in the secondary. First drive run fits weren’t great but that settled in.

So in recent seasons we've depended on the Defense to keep us in the game.
Have the tables turned, and now, we need the Offense to keep putting up numbers on the board to make up for potential shortcomings on defense?

So just being slightly above average justifies being a top 5 paid coordinator in the country in your opinion? That’s all I said is Durkin has done nothing to justify that raise. And we can blame the offense, but how many 4th quarter leads did the defense give up last season? It’s just as much the defense’s fault in giving up leads.
