I said they played harder in the same post jackwagon. But the defensive scout wasn’t good. Learn to read

agreed - there were at least 2 turnovers and probably more from Denver today.

Just stop with this BS. We stood around and watched them shoot open 3's. They talked about it in the first half. They talked about it at the half. They talked about it in the second half. Our guys just stood there and watched. It was lack of effort today. It's just that simple.
It was lack of effort, playing a motivated team that was hot, and a coach that knows the Auburn program better than maybe anyone else. Add in that UF isn't a great matchup, certainly one that this team can't half arse and win against, you get yourself an arse kicking.

Defensive plan of pressuring up on the ball and double teaming high at the point was downright retarded. Worked for about 4 mins and then they adjusted and found wide arse open shooters.
On offense the killer was Broome not being able to finish at the rim. He has looked pretty weak going to,the bucket the last few games. Maybe the ankle but looks like he is begging for a foul call and not getting it,

Denver was noticeably off. Our guys got rattled in the first half after some super questionable calls. That OB call on turtle was ridiculous.
Arena got crazy loud when Kelly cut it to 9 in the 2nd half. Felt like every time we got momentum there was something there to stop it.

3 turnovers and didn’t make a FG (0/4) after making every shot in the last game.

How the frick do you know what the defensive scout was? We had guys leaving shooters to go guard somebody else. Do you think that was the scout? We had guys not switching..........or switching to double and leave one of theirs wide open. I assure you the wasn't the scout.

This sums it up precisely. We thought we could just show up at home and get the W. Hopefully it's a learning experience.

It was pretty obvious to me that the scout was to create pressure on the ball and double team clayton and try to force TOs. Now I did not play Church league but that’s what it looked like. They got wise, too,it pretty quick and started to find wide open guys before the double teaming got to the guards.

Because we elected to double team the ball with pressure the entire game. If you can’t tell what the game plan is that’s on you. It was a bad choice and thought we would get away from it in the 2nd half but we didn’t. They trusted the “scout”. It happens.

That was the choice certain players made. CBM did it numerous times. That doesn't mean it was the scout. We always rotate the D. Today we just had two guys rotating to cover one and leaving somebody wide open. Hell, Denver several times left the ball to go cover somebody else leaving the shooter wide open. There is no way in hell that was part of the gameplan.

Why would the players do it??? You seriously gonna argue the point when it was multiple players repeating the same scheme?
Fellas on the board what was the defensive game plan by us today???

Whatever plan we had, we didn't execute
I assume it wasn't let them shoot open 3s all game

I just hope ausc comes back soon to tell us all he was right all along

It definitely was the scout/gameplan. Chaney did it, Dylan did it, it wasn’t just CBM going rogue. We had to abandon it once UF adjusted. Honestly not a terrible idea, but the help defender did an awful job of rotating over. They’re supposed to rotate to the next closest man and make the defender have to make a tough/dangerous skip pass with way two guys in his face.
I don’t have a problem with the gameplan or even it not working. The issue is we never adjusted.
But that’s basketball. Crap happens. Learn from it and lace them up again Tuesday in that stupid gym.

Because we were confused. Several times last game a shooter was wide open. Broome kept pointing at Pettiford and Pettiford kept pointing at Broome. Like was said earlier ITT...................Golden knows Pearl as well as anybody. He exploited our D all day long. We played lackadaisical on D today. That boils down to effort.
