I'm going to watch and will be invested as long as its close. I just use to be so hyped for games and now the program just feels dead.

I'm not giving up on the season before it starts... if we get blown out tomorrow I can reset my expectations but I'm going to get excited for PS.

I used to build my weekends around it, but after 2017 or so I sort of began to play more golf.

Also the kids went off to other colleges and it just was not the prime thing of every weekend.

I will watch any game that is at night or a rainy day. This game I’ll get to see because of an early tee time.

I pull for Auburn and hope we win, but I don’t spend as much time or money watching it.

Last year, I had a golf match the day of the MSU game. We finished and my friend from out of town wanted to grab lunch. I got to visit with a friend while our defense imploded.

TBH, the thing I hate most is when Auburn football is boring and stagnant.

Right now I don't think that's the case. We could pull together and become pretty decent. And even 8-4 (if that proves possible) could be very different than Gus 8-4. Who knows. We're still learning about what Harsin wants the program to look like.

We could collapse and have a coaching search. Not the best for AU, but not boring.

We have 2-4 QBs in the mix and there is a not-insignificant chance we'll have a new full time starter at some point. Not boring.

So I won't tell you that you have to be pumped or you're a bad AU fan. But for me, the mediocrity of the program isn't necessarily killing my interest.

This was my mindset a few years back. I loved to watch AU. Night games were a blast if I stayed awake. But I was doing my own sport from 5am untill lunch or a little later. AU football is cool. I still get fired up while watching. But at the end of the day I can't control the outcome. Thats boring to me.

I have been little more pessimistic than usual. But really it’s not just Auburn football putting me in a mood. For the most part the economy, where this country appears to be heading, Auburn football, my 401k, and my little stock portfolio are just all downright dreadful.

Grab the max of I Bonds you are allowed and buy some compounded index funds that short the market. Come on in the water is fine. Oh and LONG runs (physical types) help keep sanity when the world goes crazy.

Wouldn’t you know the one thing I need is exercise iand that is the first thing I’m putting off after work.

I’ve looked into Ibonds for inflation reasons of course and have an account set up with treasury direct but have yet to pull the trigger. I just see too much games and manipulation going on with the fed. You really think the inflation number will keep going up? That’s pretty scary man.

This is me - life has changed. This new post-Covid works sucks. I’m fighting daily with employees who are making above market pay to do their basic job duties. And yet they threaten me when I confront them. I’m just ready to move to a remote
island and leave it all and live off the land

I really think shits got to calm down or something’s got to give. I bought a 20 ounce Mountain Dew for 2.73 from a gas station in Alabama. That is absurd on so many levels. We’re at the threshold of hell Ellen.

I want AU to win but as I have gotten older my interests have turned elsewhere. Will be on the dove field tomorrow during the game.
