K. I'll get my mom to resend the pic tomorrow. It was in my old phone so I don't have it at the moment. I'll tell the same story then that goes with the pic (though I'm sure half the board has already read it from that thread in November).

Pav (or anyone else)

Here is the pic and story (I found my post about it in Nov and just copy/pasting).

Recruits were Johnny Northcut and Allen Israel. Neither turned out great but played some according to my mom.

Story:

Right before that picture was taken Vince Dooley needed to put on his coat which my grandmother had taken when he came in.

He asked my grandmother for his coat and where she put it.

My grandmother thought he asked for a coke. She told him to look in the basement in the refrigerator.

Dooley went downstairs and opened up the fridge looking for his coat.

Came back upstairs said it wasn't there. He was very young at the time and nervous according to my mom.

Eta: Vince Dooley on far right of pic

Cool. I have met coach Dooley a couple of times. He and I were pall bearers at my great uncle Bills funeral. Billl was a big UGA contributor and alum. Second time was random at the Dunkin’ Donuts by me. He and his wife Barbara were having a breakfast on the way to Nashville for a UT bowl game when Derek was HC at UT. They are great people

Will always appreciate Vince for turning down the Auburn job after the 1980 season.

As a nine year old kid I had this picture with a few others pinned to my wall.
