I was at a certain high school in Lee Co. around that same time and we 100% were pulling any of the good kids we could get from Montgomery, Lanet/LaFayette, etc. I had classes with several like that.

I know it’s slightly different but this also happens all the time between Auburn and Opelika depending on who’s “up” at a given time

Prattville lost a total of 2 games when I was in school. We suck now.

Played for and graduated from Trussvegas. Not sure what to expect this season. Been on the cusp of good not great for a bit now.

Probably won’t be going to too many games this year now that my daughter, last year’s colorguard captain, has graduated.

I didn't play football, but I was in school the last of his tenure and the start of DuBose's.

Played at Tallassee High School 76 through 79. They had a good turn around last year under new coach ultimately losing in the playoffs to the eventual 4A champion. Hope to have a good year this year. I will go to some of their games.

For some unfathomable reason Trussville was in that region a few years back. The weekly road trips SUCKED, but that region is harmless compared to regions 2 or 3.

Yeah, moving them to 6A was the right call, but some of these away games are nuts.

Turns out this is an OOC game. Sparkman is 7A.

Yeah they’ve been 7a for a bit. I remember going up there back in the days when Will Ignont was playing up in the region over at Buckhorn and Sparkman was 7A then.

It wasn’t a good place to be. No point in going undefeated in region constantly only to get smacked around by better prepped Hoover or Thompson teams come playoff time.

Trussville barely tested and wins 54-0.

Moody got killed at Gainesville Ga last night . The 2 studs from Gainesville going to bammer I’m sure are great but I didn’t notice them other than their size. Griffin is the number 8 player in the country.

Opening up with. Ga team first game of the season probably isn’t a good idea. They get Summer OTAs. Fall practices, a jamboree, and had already played a regular season game.

Moody has a brutal schedule. Gainesville Ga, Oxford, Helena, Auburn are the out region games

Don’t know about either team but sounds like a solid win for Spain Park

They came out strong but let it get to 27-21 in the 3rd Qtr and then just blew them out the rest of the way. My boy played solid and made all his blocks.

He has to go against a kid at Hoover next week that is a 3-Star Miami commit.

What was the final in the Hoover/IMG game? It was 20-7 IMG when I turned it off.

I was there until late 3rd. I dont even know. IMG was huge on both lines. That LT committed to USC looked like he was NFL ready.
