When bo threw the bomb to robertson it went so high I didn’t know if it was intended for him or a running back out of the backfield.

That was a perfectly thrown pass ...into the corner and catchable .....He didn't "Lose it in the lights", he simply never saw it.
Again ....You throw those loft balls when you have zero deep threat receivers and are willing to take a chance that the DB doesn't turn his head to block the pass deep. Every QB at every level throws those.

Into the corner of what? Not the end zone.
It landed out of bounds before the end zone to his outside shoulder.
I have been looking for a clip to watch to confirm what I remember seeing. If you have one please post it.
I am questioning what I saw and it doesn't match up to what you claim.
Now did Shed turn the wrong way in that situation? I believe so because you don't want to throw it inside where defenders can make a play. I question whether it was catchable even had he eyed the ball, but I am fairly confident it wasn't in the corner of the end zone.
I will be okay to be wrong as I am going off my initial memory of it.

Amen to that.
FOr anyone to watch that play and say it was a perfectly thrown ball, wasn't watching it close enough.
If you watch where the WR was running, where the DB was, then all Bo needed to do was lay it out in front of Robertson 2-3 yards inside the sideline.
Bo definitely floated it out of the playing field. Watch it at the top of the screen as Robertson is trying to locate it at full speed.
Same result, other side of the field. Robertson is sprinting down the right sideline, and Bo throws it so far inside, the WR had to change gears to go towards to middle of the EZ to even have a chance.
Both were simply poor accuracy. This is nothing new...

Yeah I’m not sure. I think it was catchable but maybe a tough catch. I know the live angle they showed looked like it should have been caught without a doubt, but the first replay they showed it looked like a tough catch

I don’t think it was leaving him out to dry at all. I do understand the drop on that one but those are the catches and throws that are sometimes needed against elite defenses. Sneaking it in between the corner and safety in zone coverage

I always watch the play-by-play cut-ups posted on YouTube and I found 6 legitimately catchable balls to your 8. If we catch half of those Toomers Corner would have been rolled. The exciting thing is that we can get better and everyone I saw brought the lumber in terms of effort.
None caught.
The game within the game.

They are from 25-30 minutes so you can knock out an entire game with a cup of coffee. I'll see if I can find him, but I just usually search for AU vs XXX play by play.

I do think Nix was fine in this game, but he is gonna have to find a way to make more plays (btw I think he is capable of doing so). He at least hung in the pocket better in this game so that’s a step in the right direction. But he’s still rushing throws and mechanically inconsistent

Thank you
AU/PSU
Just look for the videos that are 25-35 minutes in length and you should be good.

I agree. It seemed to me like his deep passes were almost mini hail marys. I just got the impression he just threw them as high as possible and prayed his man caught it. I hate saying it but watching other qbs all day long throw deep balls i didn’t get the same wtf was that when they threw them.

Yes
Catchable ball doesn't mean it was necessarily a good pass. It does mean the WR bears more of the burden for his role in the incompletion, but it doesn't remove all responsibility from Bo. Maybe it's the extent of Bo's ability, but this is not a "sling it and pray our talented WRs can get to it"-quality WR corps, and Bo is well aware of that.

I'm still trying to understand what Nix was doing on the deep balls. I know he's had trouble in the past with bad overthrows. Yeah, he needed to put more air under it to allow the WR to "run under it". But that involves a little more touch than just throw it as high and far as you can. Which is almost what it looked like. I cannot imagine Bobo has been teaching that to Bo in practice.
There was another before the one where Robertson never found it (that was not a good ball imo) early in the game where I just looked at my brother and said, "well that looked weird".

Yeah you're not alone. It was odd. And while I've never had much respect for Bo's deep ball, it looked different than prior years.

No it was a different one going the other way. He threw it much higher with more arc than the one in your gif. Looked more like a punt. It was pretty early. Maybe even the first qtr.

The dump off to the RB should be part of the plan IMO. Tank in space 1-1? Yes please
