Auburn a -11 point fav. I watched OM play a few times they're tall but we should be we should be able to run up and down the court on them. OM isn't a fast team at all.

The #s are by SEC rank

Scoring per game

Auburn #2 87.3
OM #5 79.2

Assists

Ole Miss #4 16.3
Auburn #5 15.7

Rebounding

Auburn #2 41.5
OM #8 37.7

Steals

Auburn #3 7.3
OM #5 7.0

FTs

Auburn #1 77.8
OM #9 71

3 pointers made

Auburn #2 147
OM #4 131

AU24, I put some useful things you may want to add to the OP above

If you do that, I'll just edit + remove all of it so that it just lives in the OP

This game is scary because I think Ole Miss is better than their record. Their guard play with Burnett, Schuler, Tyree, and Crawford is in the upper echelon talent wise in the conference. Add Terence Davis who is a tough match up and we've got our hands full tonight

Ole Miss isn't that much taller, but we are an "great" rebounding team thus far at #10 Off Reb% and ~#100 DReb%

I believe we will see a slight decline in SEC play though. We haven't played many teams that have tall, strong and athletic post players. We'll lose some athleticism/positining advantages that allowed us to win by hustling

Best part is that some of our players like Bryce Brown (80.5%), Okeke (74.1%) and Harper (80.5%) probably can shoot even better.

Guys like Horace Spencer look like they have a solid stroke and deserve their >70% FT

Agreed. As I was saying in a different thread, I'm not convinced we have the perimeter defense to effectively defend all of their guards/backcourt at once.

Luckily, Ole Miss' guards aren't huge 3FG threats other than Burnett, Tyree and maybe Davis if he gets out of his slump

If he breaks out of his slump, we could be in trouble. He averaged >20ppg on 74% FG against AU last year in 2games

Well I'd add gametime (EST vs CST) + tv broadcast or people will complain.

I swear, nobody has ever heard of google or learned how to use a TV guide on this board

From the photos? I listed the image links if you want to use them but

Blue colored Player + Team Matchup stats = KenPom ($20/year, I love it)

ESPN BPI is the matchup prediction on the ESPN game page

The final white box one is the TeamRankings matchup stats

Glancing at the KenPom stats GC posted and having not seen them it looks like they are efficient from 2 on offense and their strength on defense is playmaking but they will give up a lot of open shots. Sounds like we need to be patient and take care of the ball and we should be in good shape.

Andy Kennedy runs quite a bit of 1-3-1 zone And 2-3 zone The soft spots are the corners and running the O out of the high post.

I'd expect a lot of the following when they are in the 1-3-1

- Screen the upguard for Harper to drive and dish
- Corner 3s
- Passes to Murray/McEmore into high post then
- Lots of passes along the perimeter

Zone should benefit our offensive rebounding... with the way we shoot and hit the glass, zoning this auburn team is dangerous.

I like our bigs to have some success in the post too. Horace adding the hook has made him at least a viable scoring option. Chuma and Anfernee are more athletic then what they have so I could see either of them having a really good game.

As long as we keep moving the ball, penetrate with pass or drive, and don't settle for just trying to shoot over the top of the zone.

No doubt... ball movement this year has been so much better than last year... we actually look like we are running an offense.
