This staff has compared his talent to Atkins. This is an enormous pickup if true.

Seemed like he genuinely was torn on really which school to choose.

I am thrilled with the recruiting so far, I also think its a clear wake up call to some who are collecting big NIL checks for little performance.

Boy we are sitting in a nice place right now. The last half dozen or so will be very interesting.

Interesting, both Chad Simmons and Christian Clemente said we laid out a detailed plan for Tae Walden to play both sides of the ball. Chad Simmons said we led for the kid in spring and this official visit sure didnt hurt those chances.

Sure it will come down to NIL, but hey, if you can get two for the price of one.

He is one talented individual, dad played in the league for ten years so good bloodline. Six foot two, but only 165 pounds. But for you guys that like the stars, he has a lot of them

Had a gut feeling this was going to be the case with him as I think you and I had discussed a few pages ago. He is just a phenomenal athlete. Get him on campus and make him prove where he belongs and doesn't, no need to try and force a decision when he is just that athletic.

This has nothing to do with us, but couldn’t not share. Something about this kid…he just seems to have it

So how do we finish up?

Edge: Jackson and Pace
DL: Karlos May, Christian Mays
Strongside: Marquis Evans

OL: one or two of Kampas, Terrance Smith, Reed Ramsier
Ath: Tae Walden
Receiver: JLee keeps saying the staff loves Cedrick Simmons (this years version of Deshawn Spencer), I dont know who else
Safety: A plethora, probably two, interesting they just offered Trenton Williams, two A school in state, a project if a take, would not be included in the two.

Thoughts?

Seems we have the momentum right now for Deshawn Hall at WR.

S - we have good young depth right now so may not push for big guys there. Plus probalby leaving availability for Dobson and few of the other highly ranked CB's to try and get at least one of them.

I’m thinking, definitely hoping, we sign more OL. I would be fine if we signed an entire 2 deep

You are correct, we have excellent depth there but at the same time, expect that to continue as time goes on. There are a few guys we REALLY want this cycle. APB from Prattville, the S from Thompson and Chance Gilbert, who is visiting this upcoming weekend.

Junior Tu'upo is the safety out of Thompson. If he signs with Auburn, it will be the fourth class in a row we have taken a safety from Thompson, pretty amazing. He, JAB, and Gilbert are all very good as you said.

On3 has a great tab where you can see all the visits, you can see we have a handful of safeties coming for official visits.

Alan Head said its between us and Georgia for Gilbert.....and we are a solid second choice.

One intriguing one is this fella James Branch out of St. Frances. He is listed as a WR but in the spring they moved him to safety. They said Durkin went up there to look at a couple of other guys and Branch stood out so much that Durkin offered on the spot. Said he was similar to Deas, not sure where we will put him, he is already 6 foot 3 and a half and 210 lbs.

Lots of good ones still on the board that are giving us hard looks, we shall see.

Yea that's fair. I probably meant more we may not get super flashy with Safety. I think there are some really good players this class at the position, but just not one that we "have to" throw big bags at when evaluating where our big spends may go this class.
