Eh, I think most’s issue is about seemingly only coming in to complain about a 3* and then leaving and disappearing, intentionally or not. I think for the most part everyone has been pretty on the nose with regards to the 3*’s we’ve gotten as being developmental guys. I think Nash and Palmer it is pretty obvious by their offer list and who is recruiting them hard that their rankings are probably inaccurate and when the post summer updates start rolling out, I’d be shocked if they don’t get some big bumps.

What are you talking about leaving? I have 45k post and most have been on tgis board. We have all seen what recruiting 3* guys do to the program. I am hoping for the best, and I like Golesh. But he is not without criticism. We aren't winning anything with 3* recruits, and you all are kidding yourself if you think so.

Isaac McNeil, wonder if they will take he and Culpepper

Culpepper just committed to Ole Miss. Ghost posted that we already got our guy, so I’m wagering one of these tweets has been for McNeil and that probably answers your question.

Leaving the thread. As I said, intentional or not, seems some has picked up on the trend even if it wasn’t meant to be one

5 straight losing seasons chasing stars.

I don’t care who we get just get some guys that can develop and win games. We know the game now about half the roster is gonna flip each year until you start getting close to that 9-3 range on the season

In the year of our Lord I dont see how anyone can complain about only getting three stars anymore.

Even if Golesh burns midnight oil it's not like he can make an extra 750,000 of NIL appear every time a recruit asks for it. All he needs to do is manage it the best way he can. This isn't the Carl Lawson/ Montravious Adams recruiting anymore. Too much stupid shite is going on.

Yep. I think there is a shift going on HS recruiting wise anyways. UGA for example has 7 3*’s right now, I think they just picked up an OT today. Now I’m sure some of those guys will get bumps too as the ranking get updated towards the season and who knows that may be the only ones they get here on our, but I think schools are going to start getting their developmental guys from high school, a few high end prospects if they can, and then go whale hunting more in the portal for the guys that have been through a college season or two. As NIL develops more, I don’t see coaches wanting to keep investing so heavy in HS classes that may just bolt the next season.

So offer list and recent success mean nothing to you then? We didn't just sign the top RB on our board and the top tackle who chose us over Notre Dame the last few weeks? I just can't understand what the hell is happening with some of these folks. If we get Isaac McNeil (a top 100 LB) on Tues will you pop back in the pull your same troll act? Oh and that 3* was a Bama commit. At least when some folks troll it actually makes sense.

Ghost put these names out there to watch:

Aidyn Wiggins
Reed Ramsier
Isaac McNeil
Deshawn Hall
James Pace

Didn’t say all were committed as of yet, some were but to keep an eye on over the next few days.

Pace we got a CB from Brian Dohn today.

We paid top end money for both. Neither should have to play as true freshman at a school like Auburn so you’re rolling the dice the pack it up after year 1. Gotta go after a few elite guys every year tho I think they chose 2 good ones.

It would shock me if that RB isn't the thunder in a lightning attack that includes Omar mabson next year. I don't think Von Brant starts (of course) but he will see the field in some capacity. The hope is that they contribute the start year 2 like Braden Smith did. Let's hope it was worth the cash.

To Crazy's point I think you see a lot more developmental types but I bet you its multi year NIL deals with high end performance payouts in the last year or two.

That way if they do get plucked the other school will have to pay it, we then can use that payout to go do the plucking so to speak.

if youre talking SEC/ CFP titles, we arent winning anything this year anyway

this is Golesh’s year to establish relationships and prove he can get his team ready to play up to their potential, something our previous HC was obviously incapable of accomplishing

he can definitely do that with 3* guys this year

I know it's because he's a kicker but why would the 2nd best player in the Country at his position be a 3*?

Because he is a kicker is the only answer . For whatever reason none of the recruiting sites will give a kicker higher than a 3* that i've ever seen, even though I'd argue they will have more impact than probalby 70% of any given class.

FWIW, he is a 5* on Kohl's ranking system.
