Someone on On3 said a UM mod thinks he’s going to cancel his Michigan OV, that Auburn made a big move with him

Lots of players in town for 7v7 camp today. I don't know the full list, but Juju is there.

I wonder how this affects Woodby?

It shouldn’t. Woodby would be a take. I think the target is 3 but if land Woodby and then Offord wanted to come on board you wouldn’t say no. We have 26 seniors and 5 empty scholarships to fill. So at a minimum that’s 31 spots however the staff decides to break it up. I would expect 25 high school kids and 7-8 transfers depending on attrition.

I'm guessing he's talking about the the new rule allowing corporate logos on the field and jerseys.

4* LB Christian Jones changes his OV from Southern California to Auburn for this weekend per Fong

quote:

“Continuing to build a relationship with Coach Durkin because he recruited me when he was at A&M,” Jones said. “And I liked the way he coaches and his defensive structure.

“I have not been there yet. Excited to see campus.”

So we go from one CB commit to three with Woodby on the clock for the fourth and Offord a possibility. Not bad at all, and boy these kids have some heat, all very fast. And all corners.

What does the LB board look like? Melendez and this kid Jones (how on earth does a kid run and sub 11 100 meter dash, and throw the shotput?).
Winters in that star position so kind of LB/nickel? Who else?

It’s weird you ask that one of my sons the one that went to Trussville ran indoor track and played baseball. He ran the 60m indoor and did the shot put. Granted he never podiumed in either event but was in the top 2 groups in the 60m for the big schools events. Those top 16 kids are flying in the 60. And was meters and I mean many meters behind the throwers. It actually was pretty hilarious looking over there he was about 5’10” 175ish and the other throwers we all close to 6’5” 300ish pounds. Looked like a little kid standing next to them

I think Winters is looking and wanting to be recruited as a true safety

Faulk and Lockhart already committed at LB.

After Melendez, you got D Johnson (currently committed to Bama but he seems to be listening and open to AU), and J Perlotte (committed to UGA, I don't see him flipping, but he likes AU).

AU recently offered Logan Anderson from Fyffe, a 3* (LB), but is starting to rake in some notable offers. Ran a 4.4 at recent camp and also plays RB in HS.

To be early June we are sitting in a great spot for a lot of great players. We will land some and lose some but this class looks like it could easily land in the top 7 with a potential to be around 3rdish in final rankings.

Per player ranking needs to be around .9200 to push up toward the top of the SEC. We are a hair lower with some big fish out there to prop that number up some.

All that to say things are looking great for a very very good class this cycle.

Yea, I can't remember the last time we've been in this position this early in the year (both with number of high quality commits we already have and ones we are in a good position for). It is a real good feeling.

Thanks Eagle Eye,

Oops forgot to list Lockhart.

D Johnson is spooky good.

Man oh man are we getting looks from good players at every position.

I hear you Corch on Winters, I just think he is one of those guys who will be utilized all over the field even if he is listed as a safety.

I know Pink said he is the number one player on his board and one of the few he has seen who could play safety, nickel and outside rush on blitzes, he is a special one and Georgia is really concerning there.

Feagans and Winters at safety to go with this CB crew, wow sir.

4* DL Nate Marshall will OV this weekend. 3rd trip to Auburn so far

He’s a Michigan commit and top 100 guy. #4 DL in the On3 composite
