For example, if I had a son that was a highly touted football recruit where he can go to any school in the nation I would probably do something similar. I probably would set up my son to make his announcement two days after signing day. Once all the chips fall on Signing Day see where you can get the biggest ROI.
Could go either way.
Some schools might land somebody else that lessens the appetite for dropping a bag on you. Then you’re left with limited options. Less Demand, same supply = lower price

Tried telling yall after we shot our wad for Terry and it didn’t land that he would end up somewhere other then UGa. He did not want to play with Griffin. Not scared off but they both play the same position.
Don’t burn bridges he really liked AU and the defensive coaches.
Also no one thought it was possible until I called it about 3 weeks before the experts started saying there was some action on him. Hell I didn’t even have the name just that we were going after 1 of 2 elite DTs from Ga.

I would much rather get a few under the radar OL and a QB than blow that much on a HS DL. We have a quality DL class. We don't have an OL or transition QB that can play right away.

Praise thee oh wise one.
Is that what you’re looking for? Will that get you to stop posting this shite after any recruit makes a decision.

That is the one thing holding this roster back. High level OL talent. Hardest to recruit and hardest to scout.

I posted before the decision dipshit. And no I won’t stop posting information I get.

I think “well at least we’ll have more money to drop on the next guy” is the new coping phrase for most fans now
That being said, with this bag of money just lying around, if Brother Hugh doesn't land a top transfer quarterback, his seat will be hotter than the core of the sun.

Starting up the campaign to get 50k fans to donate $32/month to NIL again.
It’s that easy folks.

Yes but Auburn is considered low on the pick for him. I think he signs somewhere not unexpected but probably not UGA or Auburn. I don’t think he wants to sign in the same class as Griffin. It’s gonna take a big arse bag for whoever gets him. He’s is an elite game changing 3 tech and he’s ready to play now
I posted that yesterday morning. Need me to go back and show where I was weeks ahead of the information that we had a shot for him? Just like I was for Offord as well.
So either take the information or not I don’t give a shite.

If that happened we would legit have the best NIL. Our fans are pathetic what few pay in.

Our fans filled Jordan Hare for the second most pitiful season of my lifetime.
We may just have to face that in the world of pay to play, we're small fish.

There's just a few schools, that with the money they are dropping, they can take over a kids recruitment in an hour if they want. Oregon, Michigan, Oh St, and Texas and maybe 1-3 others are just out spending everyone right now and its not even really close.
In a way we are back to where we used to be.. get top 10 classes and get the right guys who want to be here and that we can develop and we can still beat them.

What anyone could do with $19M per year in NIL before any of the big money people decide where to throw their bags.

Many people waiting for some form of ROI before making more I with little to no R yet
Posted on 12/6/24 at 12:16 pm to AUCom96
I wouldn’t say we are small fish, it’s just our money people have had to spend significantly more money than most over the last 8 years (our fault, it’s just the reality though).
On top of that, our NIL collective is fine, but not top 10. That’s more on the average fan than the big money people. If that collective can go up, that frees up much more for our big donors to drop bags for these type scenarios.

I love our recruiting class. I’m not on here whining we didn’t get Offord or Terry.
It is what it is. Biggest bag is gonna win for top 50ish players. Bags have to be close for the top 300 however location and relationships matter. Kids below 300 unless they are sleepers you hope are good depth pieces that hang around and develop and push the starters year over year

Poker the investment comes before the return.
Fan support of Auburn athletics is incredible no denying that. Fan financial support for NIL is poor to just plain garbage

I get that, I really do, but these same people can’t also complain when we don’t have the players needed to compete at the level they want. It’s a sad reality, but the money comes first.
However, that would also probably be less of a problem if we didn’t completely shite the bed this year. So again, I get it.
