Yea this pretty much has become the main signing day anyways. I think that makes sense. If y’all would like, we can start the 2026 thread and have both stickied. After signing day in February, we can un-sticky this one. Or just let the new one cover any recruiting going forward. Either way is fine with me.

Freeze really needs to finish in top 5. His coaching is not enough to save him here.

There will be so much last minute shuffling to even have a clue where we will end up. If he keeps what we got and gets a good portal QB and some quality OL then we will be okay. I'm just as anxious to see if we make good staff changes.

Agreed especially the part about keeping what we’ve got, and reaching into the portal.
Portal Priority: QB, OL, OL, DL, OL, K, DL

Sounds like Thorne. Only time I watched Moss was first game against LSU and he impressed me then. But idk shite else about him

His situation was very similar to Thorne's: he isn't the best fit for what Riley wants to do, and he took the blame for some shotty play-calling and blocking this season. Riley had him attempting 50 passes in the game against Washington - a team with a Top 5 ranked pass defense in the entire country. They lost, and Moss was benched (lol).
Part of his benching looks like Riley throwing him under the bus to try to save his own image. If you read deeper, you'll see that Riley is increasingly looking like a big failure at USC. They're starting to call him a charlatan.
Having said all that, I don't think that Moss is an optimal scheme fit here either, so he wouldn't be my choice. He has a lot of the same limitations as Thorne.

Maybe that is all true. I can't argue. I know he wasn't the best option on a 6-6 team. If we pay a lot money for him, it will look desperate on our part.
