I’m officially nervous about this class now.

So you’re saying today is not the day?

Bro chill. It’s one game. Yes it could be a view of things to come this season but most high school kids think they are the answer to the problems.

We are gonna land some more players and will probably lose a couple players. That is just how recruiting goes. If you are board sourcing your info you have to remember they know stirring the pot gets subscriptions so it’s always going to be a roller coaster. It could be 100 percent locked in and they will continue to say team X really turned the heat up on player Y this week just when it looked like Auburn was going to land him. Knowing the player is committing to Auburn 3 weeks down the road. It’s the business model

Fans are always more emotional about these things than players.

If there isn’t some proof of concept on the field it won’t matter how much money we’re paying these kids. I thought we need to get to at least 7 wins to hold the class together and get the big targets we need. I think it’s going to be tough to get to 7 wins now. Unless something drastically changes.

Who says we aren’t winning 7 games? Who is ready or even considering jumping ship other then the ones that have already been flirting?

I have no idea how the season goes but to just think Auburn is gonna quit is ridiculous

I don’t think they’re going to quit, but if we continue to Roll Thorne out there against teams better than Cal it’s going to get Ugly.

We have to start playing better at all areas regardless of who is on the field. Period.

I will agree to that.

We sucked arse yesterday and Thorne was garbage. If it continues Freeze could be in trouble. I, personally, would have been embarrassed recruits saw that. None of those INTs were well thrown balls that took a bad bounce. Had I only seen the Cal players make the catch and not seen who threw it I'd have assumed they were on offense

Could we have actually had Cam Ward?

No

Edit: Miami has a strong NIL. Anybody remember their basketball NIL squad that defeated our Jabari/ Kessler squad? That was pure NIL driven.

Also, Miami's team is closer to a championship level than ours. We suck right now and it wouldn't make sense to Ward to come here.

Wiltfong and a recruit putting the season on Thorne is positive for our class.

Undeserved as Freeze bears much responsibility but we don't need darts airmed at Freeze yet.

Fake it til you make it

Duece and others dead? Freeze keep Thorne as a scapegoat for the season?

A rumor I've heard and it might be old news is Deuce Knight's family visited Oxford and one of the family members asked why Kiffin focused on transfer portal over HS for his QB.

Kiffin mistaked this family member for a staffer and told him "why dont you worry about your fricking job and let me worry about mine." This pissed off the Knight family. Apparently this was in Auburn podcast somewhere. Bama fan is telling me all of this as he listens to our shite at work.

More rumors is Notre Dame is telling Knight we put him on the back burner for Juju Lewis while they always wanted him. Supposedly Knight had arranged an interview with a reporter for the past weekend but then canceled after Notre Dame managed to slow him down.

Rumors mean very little still sharing.

It is cutthroat but might be effective. I still think Thorne can steal wins we shouldn't win and lose we shouldnt lose.

If he did it could be a stroke of genius, or blow up in his face. Nothing in between

The Juju Lewis thing is true, Auburn absolutely put Deuce on the back burner until they saw him improve. Smart for Notre Dame to do that but who wants to play in Indiana for 3-4 years.
