Our biggest line seems be "They had NIL left over" or "they blew a wad"

Southern kid, southern momma. This kid grew up 30 minutes from Mobile

We didn’t have to only back up the brinks truck. We just needed to be serious, and all that took was working down the QB board apparently

The old we are above the fray and so much better than Auburn to get muddled up in an NIL deal. That teenager owes us an explanation dammit. He chose easy because Freeman expects it to be hard.

We are the mighty Irish, how dare someone reject us for a place like Auburn.

I love it

When was their last National Championship? Heisman winner? If prior to 2010 than they are older news than us.

Also,, every QB the one poster pointed out didn't do shite, except Tony Rice, who threw 5 more college passes than I did (I threw 0). I'm so glad we don't have to listen to the Golden Domers bullshite on a daily basis. Those idiots are clueless.

That other idiot asking why a kid would choose good foot, more money, friends, and more hot women over Notre Dame.....who wouldn't???

1988.

They made the BCS title game in 2012 and lost to Bama 42-14 (with Saban putting in backups in 2nd half).

They made the playoffs in 2018 and 2020 and got routed both times in the first round.

What kind of kid his age prioritizes any of those things, much less all of them, when making a decision?

Some folks need to pump the brakes on talking championships & comparisons. Remember that in 2010 these kids were either 3 or 4 when we won. Then played in 2013 when they were either 6 or 7. So we haven't been in the mix or really talked about unless you count 2017 and then get dragged out in the bowl.

Just being honest. Also maybe the kid now after multiple visits to South Bend has realized that getting there from where he lives will be much harder on his parents/family/friends than it would to get in the car and drive over to Auburn.
NIL being probably the same or slightly more. So let's not get carried away when dissing ND. We haven't been in the talk as of late. Now that we have a recruiting machine let's hope that Hugh can get us relevant again and be n the mix yearly.

When Notre Dame is the one being like “what have you done lately”, we can be completely comfortable in that conversation.

I remember the melt when Bo Nix left.

That type of melt happens with every program. We can just hopefully enjoy this one from the other side

If another team is melting because our coaches and school flipped a top recruit, I’m gonna sip on that glass of goodness for a long time.

I don’t give a damn if we were winless for a decade.

I say this whether Deuce comes or not.
