I think in the portal era the more guys you can get with an actual tie to the school/area the better. There will still be some who leave regardless of where they are from but it's prob a little easier for a guy who comes from across the country and gets homesick or culture shock to jump ship than a guy born and raised in Alabama or the south who has a better idea of what they're in for.

I think that the style of play of definitely more geared towards offense where as the SEC prides itself on tough defense. USC played great offense and Defense in the early to med 2000s atleast. Don't know WHAT the hell happened after that lol

So are Deas and Winters both considered linebackers in this class, that star position. You add Lockhart as a true linebacker, that makes three?

We are taking any great players and figuring it out when they get here.
Have to remember there is legislation out there to move scholarship limits up to 105 players. It appears it will pass.
And 35 for baseball which should help AU greatly
