I doubt it was a “warning” but probably more of a “man, that dudes dad is hell to deal with, right” type talk.

Dad is probably doing the right thing for his son at age 16 or whatever. Whether that’s works out best for us who knows but I’d that type if money and exposure was being offered to one of mine I would be a helicopter dad as well.
Example. My son wants to do some acting and modeling. Got a call the day before when they needed him in Atlanta for an extra and then possibly at a high school party scene. So he wanted to go his mom and I was like if they were serious they would have contacted prior to the day before. The movie is named Slanted. I’m interested to see how it turns out maybe they will call him for a real part.

Oh meta stfu.
I said it as a "warn him", exactly as Smufy just said, recruitng comes up and he says "that dad is a piece of work, careful with that one".
You fellas got some little man complex regarding Georgia, its a new era fellas, man up.
And I dont think they are acting like big brother......though on the field they have resembled our daddy for well over a decade.....
And I apologize for the bitching, Ive had a Beryl up my arse for the past couple of days...

Anyway. Looks like we will probably pick Davidson back up tomorrow.
Let the waterfall begin.

Ward, Fegans, Woodby, Jared Smith are the others I feel confident about this month, but I’ve heard 3-4 more could come on board.

For Smith I would say 50/50 but we are surging

I have a friend that knows his family personally and we’re both Auburn fans. Warm and fuzzies is all I’ll say.

Hey Corch,
What was the deal with Smith. Didnt hear a lot about his recruitment. The coaches do a private workout and it sounds like they were very impressed (in other words he was not overrated, he is that good), and it was game on.
Did the issue of transferring schools a few weeks before the playoffs give them pause about his character? Was SCarolina that much of a lean, or did he originally just want to go out of state?

It sounds like he is fully back on board and shutting down all visits elsewhere.

The way Smith handled the transfer from Spain Park and lying to the Spain Park head coach the day before he transferred to Thompson really turned off the Auburn coaches.
Another thing is he kind of a tweener. He has edge/Buck/Jack skills but everyone knows he will grow in a college strength program to 6’5” 275 and does that translate to Edge or SDE.
At this point he is a take for sure for Auburn but there was real concerns for a while from the staff. USCe is offering a decent size bag so it will cost to get him but I think we probably match or get at least close enough to get him.

He is done with official visits. He is locked in at AU. However I don’t blame any kid going to the premiere game of the week if you have free tickets so game visits might occur but unless something crazy happens he’s staying with AU. He’s not one of the flip type kids the only reason he decommitted was because he wanted to fully take all his OVs and truly see the places he was visiting.
