That will also take agents out of the situation as well. Meant to add that. Sign or talk with an agent without NCAA approval you are ineligible.

Salary cap.

It would have been a big help. . . . especially in the beginning.

And it could still be installed. We've seen how few truly have unlimited funds. Plus I see it to be in the NCAA's best interest, because if they don't level out cost they'll also be ever downsizing.

I think it’ll all be fixed in a couple years.

Going to be Big 10 and SEC. Schools pay the kids. Give them a salary cap. I think they should also be able to limit transfers once that happens

More like the NFL but it’ll be better than now.

I see people dont understand NIL and roster dynamics. There was a P5 coach who talked about NIL strategy and you current roster. You cannot pay incoming athletes more NIL than your current players. It will tank the morale of the locker room. It cant be old vs new. That's the balance teams have to take.

These kids are getting bags but its not as big you think they are.

It was On3 or Pate that had this interview. It might of been Kirby.

Some of the players are getting huge bags, I have heard that MSU would be willing to overpay by a lot just to win a few kids to help Lebby's perception out.

In truth, it won't be much better a grade of football than the UFL and the loss of so many teams having any stake in the game will come at a major price. If ESPN loses their butts in the middle of this new landscape, college football could easily become an afterthought.

If you don’t think your Top 5 high school recruits coming in are getting more then 80 percent of the current roster then you my friend don’t understand the NIL and building a roster.

To think for example Juju comes to AU his NIL is gonna be more then Hank, Walker, hell over even someone that has started for years in Luke Deal.

What a coach says with a microphone in his face and what he says behind closed doors are huge differences. Believe that.

Maybe I misunderstood what you wrote out but my understanding that what you were saying that entrenched players are making more then recruits is wrong especially at the top of the board in recruiting. Same as the NFL a drafted first round QB might not play for 2 years but you damn well better know he’s making a ton more then your starting safety.

Yeah that’s not how that works. If you’re a 50K player and start coming off the ball with the vigor of a 81 year old man. You’d be lucky to get $500 out of the portal in the fall

Bullshite, ANY school recruiting you knows the nonsense you were dealing with, and would be happy you did not risk injury. Welcome to the business of recruiting.

What nonsense are they dealing with? Getting paid less than somebody else?

They’re probably going to get paid less than someone on their new team also. And a lot of people aren’t going to sign a guy that quits everytime he’s disgruntled with his money. Especially someone with zero leverage…

Doesn’t seem like any new information but at least it’s not about him committing to Maryland.

Salary cap.

It won’t help. There wasn’t a “cap” before NIL was a thing. They will just resort back to paying under the table again. Yearly contracts with obligations to pay back any monetary benefits if you don’t complete the contract and transfer will be the only way to get a stranglehold on the situation at hand right now. Otherwise it will be a constant carousel from here on out.

Weagle25, we are the pros now, and there are always teams like the Raiders willing to take the bad boys

The problem is no one has control. Congress does not want to get off their arse, NCAA is now toothless, and state legislatures arent helping the situation. They are sitting on their hands, or, worse, like Missouri making it legal to pay NIL to kids still in high school.

Everyone talks about moving it in house for the schools will "fix" it. Heck that will make NIL tax deductible and open up a whole nother can o worms.

But I think you, move in house, set up salary caps, contracts, and a one year sitting out period if you transfer. Cause if you just have to pay back the balance on your contract......you will find schools paying the penalty and paying the player to transfer, just like they do with coaches now.

Per JLee and the fellas, Carde was a mutual parting of ways. USC offered more NIL and we would not be played and told him to do what you have to do.

Maybe Babalola or Goodman are closer than we think and we can take Cardes money and top off their offer with it??

Bama guy at work that knows people obsessed with Auburn says its true Freeze took that money from baseball NIL and is giving it to Juju. 1.3 million is what Juju wants and apparently Freeze is willing to put an end to the need a qb talk.

Juju in other news scrubbed USC information away on social media.

Good morning

I have a dumb question for someone that doesn't keep up with this stuff. If the 1.3 million is true, is that given on an annual basis? In other words would he receive that every year?

No, that’s generally their total payout whenever numbers are discussed. Usually. I’m sure some are annual numbers.
