Reminds of Ole Miss last season. They were 7-14 going into the last 3 conference series of the year. Then went on to win the NC in Omaha.

I don’t watch a lot until we get down the stretch.
It seems with Butch we struggle early in conference play then we close out strong and turn into a pretty good team by the end of the season. Is there a particular reason for this? Is it just struggles with pitching early then Butch figuring out his pitchers and developing them or what?

Extremely low pitch counts for starting pitchers early in the season. Butch will keep some of them under 40 pitches. He also won't use his mid or late relievers on back to back days.
Then once the weather starts to warm up he will let his starters go 70-80 plus pitches if its not a "stressful" outing and let his mid and later relievers pitch on back to back days if their pitch counts are under 25-30ish pitches on the first day.

Plus seemingly every year we have a major bullpen contributor injured which puts stress on the rest of the pen and Butch has to figure out the weekend rotation. After the early season struggles, Butch appears to be once again proving that he can get teams ready by the end of the year.
I thought this team was toast with the way the bullpen was performing. The hitting has been there it was just a matter of can we stop teams from also scoring double digits every game.
