He only has 1 year of eligibility left, so I’m sure he’s going somewhere where he’s guaranteed to start.
I dont think many will "guaranty" him a starting spot, but he's arguably the most experience/accomplished/consistent QB in the nation from a playing perspective. He will start wherever he goes.

I don’t think McCall is worried about Ashford bro.
He should be, because Freeze loves him some Ashford. McCall >>> Ashford right now, but does Freeze risk losing Ashford for a guy that only has 1 season left?

Didn't McCall flirt with coming to Auburn last year and then finally decided to stay at CC?

Freeze can say look Robby you know you need some work on your passing ability. McCall is a day-one SEC-ready OB that will only be here one year. We can spend the next year working to turn you into an SEC-caliber passer to go along with your legs.

Doesn’t McCall have 2 seasons left due to Covid? He took a RS in 2019.

If McCall comes in, I'd think Geriner has a much better shot of taking over after a couple years than Ashford with the way Monty and Freeze develop QBs that can complete more than 50% of their passes...

I wouldn't pass on anyone out of fear Ashford leaves

Well, Freeze doesn’t feel that way.

If Ashford were to leave he’d sit a year and if McCall or the NC State kid comes they are a 1 year and done so it would be best for Robby to stay and learn behind them to take over in 2024 anyway. I agree we should not be concerned about Ashford leaving and if he did we’d have time to backfill anyway. Geriner or someone else could take over.

Doesn't matter who we have at QB if we don't fix the OL. Where are we on that?
