Some of the QB's Montgomery has coached should make your balls tingle.

Who has he coached?

Someone asked if Montgomery can bring his QB from Tulsa. Not sure if that was an actual question but if so, he can transfer assuming he hasn’t already used his free pass

Bryce Petty- Big 12 PoY, RG3 - Heisman, Nick Florence - All American, Kevin Cobb - CUSA MVP, Case Keenum CUSA MVP and offensive PoY.

more like a request for Freeze to sign the guy than a question

We need someone besides Robby in our Qb room

They do.

Will be weird if we can get a QB that can legitimately sling it. He's coached more 3,000 yard passers than Auburn has since as far back as I care to look. Since 1997:

Auburn 3k passers:
- Dameyune Craig (1997)
- Jarrett Stidham (2017)

Montgomery 3k passers (4k pass yds in bold):
- Kevin Kolb (Houston '03, '05, '06)
- RGIII (Baylor '10, '11)
- Nick Florence (Baylor '12)
- Bryce Petty (Baylor '13, '14)
- Dane Evans (Tulsa '15, '16)
- Zach Smith (Tulsa '19)
- Davis Brin (Tulsa '21)

ETA: I realize it will be more difficult for Montgomery to have the same QB success in the SEC he had at Tulsa, Baylor, and Houston. But if I'm a QB recruit or transfer and Freeze and Montgomery show me this in my living room, that's a compelling illustration.

I'm not willing to admit that a quarterback made my balls tingle.

We don’t want his QB from Tulsa. His TD to INT ratio was 5:1 but he could hardly complete a pass with any consistency.

59% completion rate. Not great by any stretch but better than what we’ve had the last few years.

Bo was a career 59% passer at Auburn.

What we want is more passing TDs.

More TDs period.

KN reporting that Smith and Russaw are as of now likely not taking any more visits. They just came off their officials to bama and are tired of all the visits. They were supposed to make one more unofficial visit to Auburn but doesn’t appear to be the case any more.

Freeze and the staff will have an in-home this week so hopefully they are able to change their minds. But this will likely turn out how everyone expected it to.

They have been to AU so many times. I don't necessarily see this as positive or negative. The vibe I have heard around Bham is they are asking for a lot. So it is who wants to pay.

Those visits are usually the death knell to everybody else.

500k each to commit is what is going around. I am interested is see if Bama will pony up.

They definitely want to get paid, who can blame them, but they’ve also made it clear they also want to win. I’m confident we can present them with a top tier NIL offer. The question is can the staff sell them on winning.

I’ve been trying to keep expectations low around here on those two. They’re both really impressive. Caldwell has said a few times they’re some of the more humble and thankful guys he’s covered. They always thank them for coming to games and whatnot

Bama’s definitely the favorite. I don’t think the extra visit matters at this point with how much they’ve been around. They know the program and they know Freeze at this point. We’ll see what happens

J Lee confirms that Auburn offered former 4* Edge Trace Ford, from OKST.

Hopefully we are giving 500k to the average starter, not a blanket 500k to any recruit.

He was saying it was $500k each for Smith and Russaw. Not for all of our commits.
