Probably doesn’t even need to recruit because of Deion but I get a chuckle at the idea of Zimmer recruiting somebody

Also the guy that said he only recruits well because of it being a HBCU and that he wouldn’t be able to bring in coaches…he has to be down bad right now

Such a shame, there will never again be such an opportunity for Auburn to take that kind of chance and make that kind of splash.
Deion will just be a DB coach recruiting somewhere in a couple years. He couldn't even beat a 4-8 ULM team with his all great JSU team. He's only going to get so many recruits to bite and when the first real team he plays shows he can't coach then they aren't going to keep biting.

delusion. deion won't have a recruiting class ranked lower than 5 at colorado minus this season. and he might get there this year. he will likely make the 12 team playoff before Auburn does

At some point you need to understand that the following schools all had job openings and could have hired this amazing once-in-a-lifetime no-brainer god-tier coach, and they showed little no no interest in doing so:

Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Wisconsin.

Again, there is a reason why he ultimately landed at a school that had literally nothing to lose. Most people don't understand this, but Colorado has had a total of ONE winning season (ie: above .500) in the last ~15-20 years.

It's easy to be a fan sitting at home and see recruiting hype and be sold; but there were just way too many question marks from so many different angles here that don't pass the sniff test.

Deion Sanders is like crypto investing. This could prove to be one of those hires that everyone looks back and wishes they had made, or you could literally be looking at a guy who you find out really wasn't meant for this at all if things go poorly.

I'm extremely interested to find out what happens if his son struggles. Is he doing this to pump up his son and garner him opportunities? What if he sucks? Is Deion going to sit him, or is all the big talk about competition only relevant to the other players on the team? That might work at Colorado, but I'm not exactly sure how that would work at Auburn where its no guarantee that his son is even good enough to play at.

Well I mean that’s quite an exaggeration

You can chuckle all you want about that. Just on the surface I can point out this:

1) Involved in basically running a fake HS.
2) Multiple accusations of violent physical assault. He confirmed choked a man over the fake HS incident and has reports from his ex-wife of choking her as well.
3) Tried to cover up and defend a pastor who is currently in prison for rape/sexual assault.

This is all surface level stuff that is easily uncovered through Google. God knows how much else you can find through a search firm over his DECADES of obscene behavior before he magically turned into a coach. It's kind of comical how I guess because he's black he's able to just bury his past after ~3 years of coaching and waxing poetic about how he's a new man here to help da kids. This shite makes Hugh Freeze's stuff look like nothing (what, he used prostitutes? seems like that only affects his wife and family lol).

That is just the non-football related stuff.

Once you get to actual football, you can pretty easily point out that they play no competition at Jackson State with 10x the talent. There is virtually zero coaching going on. They have P5 castoffs playing a bunch of literal scrubs.

Yeah, he'll be able to recruit...but no amount of recruiting in this conference will create that level of talent discrepancy that he just enjoyed. It's a complete shot in the dark as to what the result is going to be in a real conference, and what type of propensity he actually has for when things go wrong and there are actually expectations on the line.

Recruiting really isn't enough, as already proven by ultra-recruiters like Ron Zook at Florida who had no problem bringing in talent andp roducing no results with it.

You do realize they are on two different levels right? What a horrible, misguided Hugh Hugger you are.

He can flat out recruit. He can recruit players and he can recruit coaches and any other staff members he needs.

He was my #1 all along for those reasons. He'll get the best assistants to fill gaps in his expertise.

That entire post was an idiotic take from top to bottom. Then you throw race into a situation that had nothing to do with it. Deion is one of the greatest athletes in history, arguably the greatest corner nack in NFL history, and a person who had won at every level, played for the most iconic teams in football and baseball, and been coached by legends. He's been an icon continuously for at least 30 years and is well respected by athletes and sports enthusiasts crossing multiple generations. But your race-baiting arse thinks he's getting a pass because he's black? Sit down clown!

Probably need to try to steer this off of Deion

I’m guilty of the derail too. Just don’t want any recruiting news to get lost
