5 December I believe is the day the portal opens up. So that day we should be able start reaching out.

If I’m Freeze, I’m on the phone with Russaw and Smith and the madhouse guys tonight. Freeze might be an offense guy but he knows defense makes his job easier
Those guys and a transfer QB, IMO

First order of business should be getting previous Official Visitors setup with new OVs as allowed by the NCAA. Plenty of weekends left for that. Then he’s gotta find OL somewhere

December 5th the portal opens. We have 3 weekends for vistors before early signing period. Anyone that has visited can get another official visit now that Freeze is hired. December 21 is the early signing day. Last December 21-23.

In general, I’m not expecting to be blown away by what Freeze is able to put together before next season. He’ll have NSD to use (although it’s no longer a major signing period) and he’ll have time in January to recruit and bring in transfers
Freeze is well known by HS coaches across the region. He has that going for him. That’s going to help a lot with the next class. Obviously NIL is a factor I can’t exactly forecast. The recruiting staff that’s been retained may have a plan there

I’m pumped. Oddly we’ve had some momentum the past 4 weeks so need to ride it through.

Jones I agree. We wont be blown away in this high school class. Maybe we can close somewhere around 20-25. We need lots of portal help though and should be able to get a few needed positional players there. OL is much needed here.
I can tell you with Freeze at the helm entering into late August we won't be at 65th in the country or whatever we were this year.

Our class has quietly found itself at #32 on 247’s composite and #27 in On3’s composite.
Auburn also appears to be trending in recent days with 4* DL Darron Reed and 4* LB Stanquan Clark, and 3* DB Colton Hood

Jones, I’d like to examine how much Harsin recruiting has affected the psyche of the Auburn Rant recruiting board. Do you have the links to previous recruiting boards including the other guy’s (whatever his name was.)
