Only about half, and their coaches and parents know who he is. Stark difference to Harsin. That’s truly an unknown
Unless recruits are being recruited by specific guys, they don’t usually know coordinators well either. This isn’t all together a new thing

Gotta see how things go. Just like Harsin, gonna give Freeze time to succeed or fail. Fortunately for him and Auburn he won’t have any recruiting restrictions out of the gate and he’ll have time to sway guys before early signing day

He actually has a personality and can close. Should be a big change over the last 10 yrs.

I just mean in terms of personal ability to recruit.
Chiziks staff was built around recruiting… GC m himself was good, but it wasn’t his strong suit.

Chizik versus Gus recruiting is actually interesting.
Chizik’s classes were large. He really took advantage of more lenient roster accounting and obviously got some dudes on offense that helped Auburn take the leap
Gus did a better job getting higher rated recruits on average. Obviously, he had some major holes that defined periods of his tenure
I know there’s some folks that don’t like Freeze. I would appreciate if y’all kept that criticism in line with recruiting and what’s happening on the trail. The recruiting thread tends to be a reprieve from the rest of the board’s topic at hand so it would be great to keep it that way.

So what are the big dates we should be looking at as far as the portal (i guess we consider that part of a recruiting thread these days)?
