Not crapping on Robby but he also willed us to some loses as well. Trying to do to much. If Robby could be a "good" passer it would be no contest on who starts. I like fired up players but you have to be in control.

Anyway, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. I really hope the QB battle isn't a pissing match the entire fall we all have our opinions. Both QBs will be better if pushed in competition and at the end of day our opinions in 5 minutes of video doesn't matter much the coaches will make the decision they think makes the team better and wins more games.

After listening to Freeze’s presser, he definitely doesn’t care about pulling a QB if they’re not getting the job done. Sounds like 90s Steve Spurrier.

There will be no pissing matches mainly because i dont know enough about every one of our quarterbacks.

Ashford is he still too raw

Thorne- Why did everything fall apart last year?

Brown and Geriner- Who transfers first?

I appreciate RA the most out of all these dudes but he aint no ride or die.

Neither at this point. Both have the frame you want. Do they have everything you want athletically I'm not sure but I think both are a lot more athletic then we give them credit for. Geriner has a big arm. Brown's arm development I expect to be the same when he's a redshirt freshman as well. Big boys. Big arms.

It appears the Hunter situation is out of the athletic departments hands.

So that begs a question why does Jarquez not have an answer yet? Maybe he does and is asking for an appeal or something.

Don't want this to blow up with speculation but as far as football activities outside of being available by the coach and obviously Freeze isn't calling the shots on it so he must be "suspended" from the university.

The War Rapport guys did a breakdown on him. They said he tends to zero in on his favorite WR and throw it to them no matter what. If he goes Finley mode and throws to a WR in triple coverage at the first scrimmage game, Freeze might lose it.

You think the War Rapport is unbiased? Give me a break.

They hated on Bo for 3 years even as a true freshman about ball placement and it wasn't good enough because even tho he was completing passes it wasn't a perfect pass so the WRs couldn't get the exposure they needed lol. What a bunch of dumbasses. I watch because it's Auburn content and they players seem to like them but they have absolutely idiotic takes for anyone that knows football.

Then last year it was all the OL's fault no one had time lol. Where was that same energy for Bo. Sometimes be careful what you wish for.

I hope Thorne and Ashford both ball the frick out. It's what's best for my team.

There’s not much of that going around these days. The Locked On Auburn host despises Ashford. He’s basically anyone but Ashford. At least The War Rapport guys are pretty split on who they like Ashford, Throne, and Holden.

Best case scenario for Auburn would be for Throne to have a big year and get drafted high. Then Ashford have a big year and leave the next. Freeze would have his pick of 5* QBs.

Pulled the receptions from ‘21 and ‘22.

2021:

2022:

He definitely targeted Reed heavily in 2021. Don’t know why. Nailor missed a few games but his receptions per game is close. Keon Coleman wasn’t there so maybe that’s it, but they also had Walker at RB that season and didn’t really need a robust passing attack.

In 2022 it seems like he spread it around quite well.

I think nowadays in college offenses there’s not all that much actual progressions being made. I’ve heard a lot of NFL coaches talk about it with rookies. Sometimes it’s hard to decipher if a guy is incapable or just following directions well

Man, that’d be nice to have 3 WRs average over 15 yards per reception.

The "stares down his receiver" is a common slander used against qbs by haters that have watched zero film

Freeze's offensive is a 1 side of the field read. If there is an opposite side look it's to move the safety. I'm not sure if Monty's offense is the same.

Didn't Reed and Thorne go to the same HS? That could explain the high target numbers.

Also, I don't see much evidence for "stares down favorite receiver" but you'd probably want to use targets, not receptions, to evaluate that.

in the second year, they didn't have a good ground game, so they had to rely on the pass a lot. I believe he also had nagging injuries. I find it funny hearing that the war report and locked on guys hating...I have heard the locked on guy praise RA. So I haven't listened in a good while but I have listened to some actual dudes who have coached in college and they had nothing but good things to say about Thorne and Ashford. So we will see what happens this fall.
