Likely Auburn’s worst class ever. 2008 was up there, but even it wasn’t that bad.
Not only did potato man manage to bring in a shite class, he also managed to lose what few good players Malzahn left.
He was so bad, you almost think he was a plant.

So Holden ran with the 3rd team against the 3rd team defense the entire scrimmage Saturday. That takes away the luster.

Holden had a good offseason and fall camp. He will be fine.

Well, the article I read said Holden was with the 3's in the viewing window for the media. It also said none of the QB's were throwing the ball in these drills.
I still have hope, dammit.

Freeze ran through 4 QBs last season, so I hope he stays ready.

If that was about yesterday. They have video showing them throwing. It was in the indoor facility.

Just for those wondering it was 67 degrees last night when I went to bed. Air felt crisp. Still a hair humid and sun is starting to get high in the sky.
Starting to feel and smell like football season.

Mike G. @mikegittens Follow Based on what I've gathered I'd rank the QB room 1. Holden 2. Robby 3. Thorne

That was just Mike’s way of saying Ashford was leading without saying Ashford was leading.
His see I’m not just pulling for the “black” QB. Not saying he or any of TWR is racist but Mike G just rambled on about dumb shite

NATHAN'S NOTES
* Here's some perspective on the QB race from someone in attendance at the scrimmage: It could have been a very different day Saturday. Payton Thorne had two near-touchdown passes that were ruled out of bounds, and another would-be touchdown that was dropped. We weren't far from Freeze walking in afterwards and talking about Thorne throwing three touchdowns. Instead, some were convinced Thorne had a poor showing because the other two were praised. The receivers' occasional issues also affected every quarterback, and there's no way of knowing which QBs made the right reads and who didn't. But the coaches saw those plays on tape Sunday, then Thorne was the first quarterback up in each portion of practice we watched Tuesday.
* Along those same lines of continuing to gel with receivers: During an RPO drill Tuesday, Thorne had to adjust a throw at the last second before Jyaire Shorter split the wrong direction on an option route. Shorter caught the ball behind him, then Thorne immediately whipped around to Freeze, talking and pointing. Freeze then called over receivers coach Marcus Davis to break down the route with Shorter. The impressions we've received from camp so far are that Thorne has a strong grasp of the offense — not only for himself, but for where other players around him need to be.

QB and OL are the 2 hardest to project positions in high school. Especially for how they will perform once in college. I don’t have a clue but I wonder how many 3 star QBs are in the league?

I am not sure where the video came from. This is the article I read........
quote:
Here's what we saw out of the quarterbacks and the offense on Tuesday.
quote:
There was a separation between quarterbacks on Tuesday afternoon, with Holden Geriner working exclusively on one side of the field with the third-team offense, while Robby Ashford and Payton Thorne worked with a rotation of the first and second-team offenses on the other side of the field. Both offenses worked against the defensive line, never actually allowing any quarterback to throw the ball.

Sounds like a few mental drills for everyone. Sounds like the WRs need it on the option routes. They will more and more clean as we go. Luckily we have 3 very winnable games to open the season. Essentially giving us plenty of time to correct mistakes.
I’m not saying Cal is a sure win either tho. We better be ready to play some weird shite can go wrong at 2am lol.
