I mean say what you will about Bobo’s offense being old-school, but, the dude definitely can recruit! So many connections throughout Georgia, especially South Georgia.

I'm not sure what old school means when it comes to a diverse offensive philosophy which Bobo teaches. His offenses have always been successful.

And don't forget Harsin is at the head, and he has shown at Boise that he will control the offense and utilize 'current' offensive plays that are successful as well as Bobo's...

The key with all offenses, is how productive is your QB. If Bo doesn't improve, then Harsin will make sure he either has a backup or in the future his QBs will be recruited and developed...

The transfers are worth more to us than 2022 recruits right now. They are simply too far behind in the cycle and there are still no visits until June. They're not "giving up" on the 2022 class, but by bringing in a ton of transfers who have already shown they can play, we can put a solid season on the field in year one which will get the ball rolling for 2023 and beyond. If they evaluate and develop well this also gives us an opportunity to potentially send a few of these kids to the NFL Draft really quickly, which is what recruits mainly want to see.

Totally agree with this...and...many of these transfers have multiple years left to play so even if in 2021 they add quality depth, after this year, with so many leaving in the secondary, LB,OL, there will be experienced transfer guys that could start gaining another year experience in either Harsin's or MAson's offense/defense.

And as this poster said, we will need them, not just bc our 2022 will still have us behind the top level teams, but also Gus' last recruiting class was not that great, and we will need these transfers to keep us afloat in 2022. 2023 HAS to be a top level recruiting class...

Yea he is a stud. Great catching hands. I would be ecstatic if we were somehow able to get him.

I 100% agree, there’s just been some talk off and on that Bobo’s best days are behind him.

I think he has a very multiple “pro style” system. That can mean a lot of different things, but it does boil down to being a system that relies on the QB being able to make good decisions. I think him and Harsin will be able to create a very diverse scheme that caters to our strengths, but it lives and dies at the QB.

Saw mention of 2020 3 star OT and former OM signee Brady Ward from St Paul Mobile transferring in as a grey shirt. Caldwell chimed in and said he thought it was likely.

Cool. A lot of Auburn fans were irritated that Auburn didn’t offer him

Also if note, 2021 4* WR Shadrach Banks will be playing LB at TCU

Interesting that he was the OL in front of Jordan Ingram down in Mobile, who entered the Transfer portal from C. Michigan and now is also going to Auburn...

Wonder if Ingram helped recruit Ward to Auburn...?

Ward is going to need some really good S&C to play in the SEC.

He's up to 6'3 288 according to his trainer. Big get. Immediate two-deep player.

Isn’t that TAMU LB transfer from Carver HS? Any update on him? Or is he from Park Crossing? I know one of these transfers was from one and the other was from the other.

Yes, The A&M linebacker (Ke'Shun Brown) is from Carver. Marcus Harris is from Park Crossing.

Brown appears to be an on-the-fence take right now and isn't a major priority but he might end up here.

Very pleased with our staff and how they are using the portal. I would think they now focus on offense.
