Colby Smith, a last minute addition by friend last class was a 4* OT on 247. And obviously Joiner is a 4* OL
If we can just get more volume than 1-2 a class we’ll be in good shape

We signed Diamond and Hunter in the 2021 class. Hunter transferred recently to UCF

Saw that RyQueze McElderry is going to visit, high 3 star OL currently committed to UGA. Would be a good flip if we can land him, from Anniston and just received a scholly from Auburn.

May I ask why he’d be committed to UGA and just got an offer from us? We being picky on our O line recruiting ?????

He’s a 2023 IOL guy. He visited back in June for a camp and Will Friend has kept in touch it sounds like.
He said the offer is a big deal because he’s close to Bradyn Joiner. I believe they’re cousins. Anyway, he said it would be great to play with Joiner. Sounds like this weekend will be important.
On the offer timing and if we’re being picky? Hard to say. I can’t even find when UGA offered but Bama offered in November. Auburn has been weirdly picky at OL despite the need. We’ve documented that pretty frustratingly here over the past year.
It does seem like this staff is highly cautious about guys that are really heavy. This dude is listed at 6-3, 340 and that has seemed to be a deal breaker on other kids this cycle. But that’s just my speculation. They did, afterall, offer him. Plus, Joiner is listed at 6-1, 330. So maybe that’s not actually an issue

I saw where Ga offered him at a camp way back in June 21.
But if he hadn’t signed yet that tells me GA’s offer may have been ‘ a wait and see approach’ on NSD 2.

I was being sarcastic about us being so picky. If the kid is even remotely capable of competing at UGA, he should be a top priority for us

Anez Cooper picked up an offer, got an in home from Cristobal and is visiting Miami this weekend. Weird that we seem to be slow playing him with the obvious need. I trust Cristobal's evaluations on the OL.

We talked about him a few pages back but the information from December was that Auburn would not be offering. He was closer to 400lbs than 300lbs and is now working with a nutritionist to manage his weight. I think there is a lot of concern about his physical health in general. Most schools backed off due to that
