One thing about watching sports with a lot of foreign people involved (mma) you learn a lot of different ways to pronounce things . Jose Also is still one of my favorites.. Pronounced JO-say instead of ho-say because in Portugese when the J starts a first name its pronounced entirely different (I think I got the reason right lol)

This staff has been very, very picky on recruits. We should probably expect that to continue

Harsin does not believe the OLine is so bad that he signs more OL that are marginal. He is set on building the OL with Quality. We may be worried from our perspective and want action, but he is being selective to change the trajectory of the OL in a big way. If he cannot get a top OL recruit to fill the roster spot he is passing.

Harsin has proved a few things, he wants coaches and players that fit and are bought in with what the plan is. He is not listening to the fan chatter, but is focused and sure of how to build a winning program. He’s doing it his way.

QB?

We are big in trouble here.

It doesn’t look like Slovis is coming. What about Calzada? Not my top choice but he has SEC experience and beat Bama this season.

Based on what?

But yeah, the choices are slowing dying out. We need to land one.

Caldwell said the other day that Slovis still appears to be headed to Arizona.

I’m guessing we’ll start seeing some direction on QB now with the OC/QB coach in place.

It's Em-Bah

We will have at least 3 QBs going into next season, sure we would like one more with experience, but we would want them to actually have good experience.

As for OL it looks like quite a few are using their COVID year to come back so we aren't as far behind there as thought?

Yeah let’s not even attempt to address the biggest need on the team because we only want “quality”. Lol. So the last staff couldn’t recruit OL and this one is “picky”. The spin machine and gaslighting is for real. At least I was honest about the short comings at OL and WR and everyone assured me we had plenty of talent at WR.

Look at all them 4 stars.

Most have been around for 4-5 years. I think we have seen their highs and it’s not good enough. It’s time to cut bait and move on. I don’t think Council is available for another year. Hamm is going pro. I doubt Trox returns. Brahms I don’t know but not sure why he would return. I think he already has a job lined up with Delta or it was a joke that he did.

Jones has always had another year but he needs to get better as well. Manning transferred. Outside of Zeier I think that makes up pretty much our top 7 or 8 linemen.

Also lots of folks in that "Draft Room" that Auburn had setup knew about M'ba being at Auburn Tuesday, they must've signed some NDA to not disclose that he was at Auburn then.

Yeah, but so has Nix, he has 2 years of eligibility left at Oregon which is wild. The OL at the end of the year was actually not that bad tbh. We just didn't have the QB/WR trained up to match.

Is it spin if it’s literally what they’re doing?

Not sure what you’re on about here. They’re literally not bringing guys in that they could have had. And it’s my opinion that they’re being picky. Maybe they’re getting turned down before they offer? Didn’t seem that way with Shor.

We all argue, debate, and often disagree on our opinions of what’s happening in recruiting and football on this board. It’ll never be an echo chamber and for that I’ll never apologize Gonna need to put on your big boy pants and stop pouting everytime another anonymous poster thinks your wrong. I’ve been dealing with it for over a decade here and I can assure you that the sun still keeps coming up in the morning.

Not sure I can agree with this. The OL isn’t a disaster. And as fans, our bar for them has been pretty low so our view of “not that bad” is pretty substandard if we’re being honest here.

I think it had good moments but our offense continues to be limited in what we can do because the offense struggles to create running lanes or set edges
