Agreed. Alabama signed more of the top 10 out of Florida last year than the other Florida schools did combined.
Cristobal going to Miami is a great start. Lincoln Riley going to USC is also massive. They won’t be able to cherry pick California any longer.
As Saban ages, it’s going to be harder for him to recruit already. I’m going to absolutely love watching him go down. As much as he’d like to, he can’t keep this up forever.

For recruiting, I think you are spot on. Al and Ga will always get exceptional talent, but without strong regional teams on the west coast and other areas outside the SEC footprint, they just pool even more talent than would have been considered possible years ago.
Hopefully, if USC gets it going, it reduces some of this and maybe even works by bleeding off some of that talent via the transfer portal and might reduce some of the ridiculous depth GA and AL have.
Texas A&M... I think they are going to throw everything they have into being a juggernaut before Texas comes in. However, I fully expect those two programs to start doing all kinds of crazy shite to sabotage each other.
The portal, combined with the NIL --- makes it seem likely that recruiting will never stop now, even when these kids are enrolled and playing. In a perverse way, you might be better getting a college sophomore via portal, since they are then less likely to transfer if they have to sit a year after the freebie.
I still think our recruiting this year looks better than what we were thinking not too long ago, but that talent discrepancy means we need some unexpected stars to develop and get lucky along the way--- so, in that regard it feels similar to years past.

Miami and USC returning to prominence would go a long way in diluting his talent pool. And when his talent starts consistently decreasing is when he’ll hang it up. No way that guy wants to be a loser.

This kid supposedly showed up to Kirby Smart's house high. That's why he was dropped from Georgia. We cancelled his official visit here.
This looks like a typical Rodney Garner "amazing pull" - highly rated kid with issues that makes him attainable because other schools are reluctant. He signed a few like that here too, all of which are off the team.
