Bama has signed some of the best OL classes recently and their line has been a mess.

It’s a shitshow position to recruit. The current staff seems to have a very high standard given that they didn’t like a guy like Agbo that probably was a slam dunk for us. Same with Shor.

Can’t pretend to know what they’re thinking but hopefully it makes sense sooner than later

More and more often, the best recruits go to the best programs. And depth rarely ever seems to matter much.

I would say it used to.

Saban kinda changed the game on that though.

We also had good luck in the past under Tubs recruiting DL and converting them to OL. DL are usually more athletic.

The worst part about all those OL we either slow played as back up plans or just never pulled the trigger on.. A few of them are starting and doing solid jobs. I can't remember the names off the top of my head, but I'll just be watching a game sometimes and hear an OL name and just think to myself "why in gods name did we bring him in".

Actually Charles Cross and Dylan Wonnum names just came to be. I believe they are 2 we either slow played too much or passed on

I think for the next couple of years we are going to need to have a balance with transfers and incoming freshmen in order to have a competitive line on an annual basis. OL take on average two years to develop. The majority of lineman we have are upper classmen. We do have a few sophomores and redshirt freshmen but it will take time to put 20-30 lbs of good weight and mechanics to be competitive.

I mean this is relative. It may not be 2012 Bama OLine but they are still averaging like 40 something points a game and the #1 team in the country. They are doing alright.

Glad we got rid of the daddy’s boy that wouldn’t have committable offers anywhere in the SEC

We fired his dad. Y’all need to move on I’m happy for him. Grew up a UGA fan and is able to play for them now.

The "good frick em" thing is just a meme.

We all knew it was coming. I doubt anyone cares that much about him to get worked up either way.

What is going on with Bradyn Joiner from Auburn High? I haven’t seen him mentioned in a while and all I can find is Niebuhr has him CB’d to Auburn.

What do you need to know?

He’s a 2023 guy. Down to AU and UGA and he announces on the 20th I think
